According to the paper, Britt dropped off a man initially reported to have been his brother at Jersey City Medical Center and then was uncooperative when police questioned him.
CBS Sports reports police were called to an alleged stabbing at a birthday party in Jersey City at 3:28a.m. Sunday morning, but found no sign of trouble. Upon arrival, officials were told the victim had been transported to a hospital by Britt.
Later, Britt reportedly returned to the house where the party was held to pick up his girlfriend, CBS Sports reports. According to a report obtained by the network, a gunshot was heard shortly after Britt left the house a second time.
The stabbing victim, who remains unnamed, is reportedly recovering after suffering a non-life-threatening wound.
"Right now, we have a lot of unanswered questions, so we are looking for [Britt] to come in and answer some questions for us. He had been uncooperative to this point," Jersey City Police Capt. Edgar Martinez said Sunday, according to The Tennessean.
CBS Sports reports, the 24-year-old Britt has been involved with no fewer than eight legal entanglements since joining the league in 2009.
