Erika Menendez, suspect in NYC subway shoving death, ruled fit to stand trial

/ Network News ServiceErika Menendez, 31, was charged with murder in the death of 46-year-old Sunando Sen, who was shoved off a Queens subway platform on Dec. 29.
According to court documents, Menendez told police that she did it because she hates Muslims and thought he observed that failth. Sen was Hindu.
A judge announced at a hearing Monday that Menendez had been found fit for trial. She did not appear in court. An attorney hired by her family says she remains hospitalized.
Menendez will be arraigned on an indictment Jan. 29.
