N.C. Murder-Suicide: Holly Springs couple found shot to death identified, officials say
A married couple was found dead Monday inside a Holly Springs, N.C., home in an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said.
/ WRAL(CBS/AP) HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. - Police have released the names of a 38-year-old couple they think died in a murder suicide in Holly Springs.
Officials say Robert and Amber Seymore were found shot to death in their home Monday morning.
Spokesman Mark Andrews says a relative discovered the couple dead after taking their 6-year-old and 8-year-old to school. The relative took their 2-year-old son to a neighbor's home and called 911.
Police have not said who shot whom. But officers say Amber Seymore had called police Nov. 23 to file a domestic violence complaint against her husband.
According to CBS affiliate WRAL, Amber Seymore wanted officers at the couple's home as a precautionary measure when Robert was moving out of the home.
"My husband has a gun and a bad temper," she reportedly told the dispatcher.
Robert Seymore returned sometime Monday morning, police said, and the shootings happened after a domestic dispute between the couple about 9 a.m., WRAL reports.
The couple had lived in the neighborhood for about 18 months.
