(CBS/AP) DALLAS, Pa. - Jose Ramos, the former suspect in the 1979 disappearance of Etan Patz, will appear in court today for giving police a bogus address for where he planned to live after his release from prison last week.

Ramos, 69, was released from a state prison north of Wilkes-Barre after completing a 27-year sentence on child molestation charges. He was immediately arrested and charged with failing to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law.

Ramos was long suspected in the infamous disappearance of 6-year-old Etan, who vanished in 1979 after leaving his Manhattan home to go to a bus stop.

Pedro Hernandez was charged Wednesday in New York with Etan's kidnapping and murder.
