Raffaele Sollecito talks about the "dreamy romance" he had with Amanda Knox

(CBS) It is no accident that Raffaele Sollecito's just released book, "Honor Bound," has a picture of both he and Amanda Knox on the cover.

48 Hours reveals Amanda Knox's untold story

Part of the fascination with the story is the fact that the couple were only lovers for eight days before they were arrested for the murder of Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy and then separated and thrown in prison for four years.

Given it all happened in an ancient Italian hill town, it is as though Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet were jailed one week after meeting each other. The inevitable question would be: what happened to the relationship?.

In an interview with 48 Hours correspondent Peter Van Sant, Raffaele Sollecito answers that question.

The "dreamy romance" lasted seven nights before the murder. Knox was getting up at five every morning to Skype with her ex-boyfriend in China. On Day Four Sollecito found out she had just bought a ticket to visit him for the the holidays. She had described Sollecito as her "half-boyfriend." Sollecito wrote that the relationship was doomed. They were on such bad terms that she went out drinking with another man on Halloween, the night before the murder, and called Sollecito in the middle of the night to come take her home. When he arrived this man was still pawing her. It was from this cauldron of betrayal and resentment that Meredith's brutal murder became possible.

Nowhere does RS say AK was "up at five every morning to Skype with her ex-boyfriend in China." He says "In fact, they chatted or e-mailed almost every day." She made no secret of it nor did she hide it from RS. She told him about going to visit DJ in China. There is nothing wrong with that except in the minds of those who give nefarious reasons to anything and everything AK did.

Nor were they "on such bad terms that she went out drinking with another man on Halloween" as you claim. She met friends at Le Chic while he stayed home and worked on his thesis as he didn't feel like going out (Honor Bound).As for "when he arrived this man was still pawing her," again, you've twisted it into something nasty for your own purpose. Nowhere has anyone ever said Spiros (her friend) was "pawing her". RS wrote that Spiros "was a little too familiar with her for my liking." So, just where is the "pawing" bit?

LOL! It was Guede's need to steal the rent money that "Meredith's brutal murder became possible." Really, you need to write for the British red top tabloids because you have quite the penchant for turning an ant hill into a nefarious molehill.
