"Nasty" pool party draws 1,500 near Boston, gets wealthy homeowner in hot water

This invitation to a Milton, Mass. house party lured about 1,500 people at roughly $15 to $20 per person.

(CBS) MILTON, Mass.- Close to 1,500 party-goers recently paid $15 to $20 apiece to attend a self-styled "nasty" pool bash in a usually quiet, well-to-do neighborhood in Milton, south of Boston.

Now the party-thrower is in trouble, with police saying he'll face charges, beginning with selling alcohol without a license, CBS Boston reported.

The gathering held two weekends ago was openly promoted as a "Make it Nasty Mansion Pool Party."

Attendees were instructed to come in swimwear and invitations told them to expect bottle service and ample alcohol for sale.

The party was held in a massive pool house with an in-ground pool on a normally subdued suburban street.

Neighbor Louis Cassis was caught off guard.

"I was horrified by it," he said. "It was uncomfortable, but at least the police were here though. I felt good about that. But the police were outnumbered, a hundred to one, I think."

It took Milton police more than an hour to clear the festivities.

Now police are vowing the party's over.
