Isabella Sarah Tennant, missing NY 5-year-old, found dead in alleyway, report says

(CBS/AP) NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - Authorities say a 5-year-old girl who went missing near a relative's home late Sunday night has been found dead.

Police and relatives of Isabella Sarah Tennant tell local media outlets that officers found her body Monday morning a few blocks from where she was last seen alive in the city of Niagara Falls.

According to CBS affiliate WIVB, the girl's family says her body was found fully clothed in an alleyway.

Tennant was reported missing by family members around 6 a.m. Monday. Media reports say a neighbor was the last person to see her, and that the neighbor is being questioned by investigators.

No other information has been released by police.

by andie52 August 28, 2012 9:43 AM EDT: Isabella's family had called police earlier Monday to say she was missing from her great-grandmother's home in Niagara Falls, where she'd been staying overnight. Isabella's great-grandmother said she had last seen her Sunday night with 16-year-old neighbor and family friend John Freeman.

Authorities said it was Freeman's friend, 18-year-old Tyler Best, who led them to her body, which he said he helped Freeman hide. Authorities said it appeared Isabella had been killed without weapons being involved

A 5 year old goes missing on Sunday night and is not reported missing until 6:00 AM the following Monday. Am I the only one that thinks that is a little suspicious?

by mssoonermagic August 27, 2012 9:21 PM EDT: They put her to bed Sunday night and on Monday morning she wasn't in her bed. While I check on my kid throughout the night, it's because I'm afraid he might wake up and wonder off. But, alot of people put kids to bed and then go themselves. She was with her grandparents, so they probably aren't people that stay up late themselves.
