James Holmes Picture: Photo of Colo. shooting suspect released
James Holmes, age 24, is in custody after shooting during a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora, Colo.

Holmes, 24, withdrew from the University of Colorado, Denver's medical school last month, according to spokeswoman Jacque Montgomery.
She did not know when he started school or why he withdrew.
Police released a written statement from Holmes' family: "Our hearts go out to those who were involved in this tragedy and to the families and friends of those involved."
