Wash. woman says she fought off teen harassers with kung fu training

(CBS) VANCOUVER, Wash. - A Washington woman says she used her martial arts training to defend herself after two teenage strangers harassed her while she was jogging over the weekend.

Priscilla Dang says she was running in her neighborhood in the city of Vancouver when two teens approached her on their bikes, reports KATU.

"One went in front and made eye contact with me like a smirk, like I thought he was saying 'hi.' The next thing I knew I was pretty much groped on my bottom behind left side," Dang told the station.

According to KATU, the Washington woman says she grabbed the teen that groped her and told him to apologize, but the confrontation escalated when the second teen started swearing at her.

"It just made something snap in me - it's not OK. It's so disrespectful," Dang told the station.

Dang reportedly says she punched the foul-mouthed teen twice in the face and that's when he pulled out a knife. She says she backed off from the fight while using one of the teen's bikes as a shield. Investigators say they never found a knife.

Two people saw the confrontation and called 911, KATU reports. Dang was not hurt in the confrontation.

According to KATU, Dang's family owns Summit Wushu Academy, which teaches Chinese martial arts.
