George Zimmerman's bond revoked by judge, 48 hours to surrender in Trayvon Martin killing

(CBS/AP) SANFORD, Fla. - A judge Friday revoked bond for George Zimmerman, and gave the neighborhood watch volunteer who killed Florida teen Trayvon Martin 48 hours to surrender.

Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. said that Zimmerman engaged in "material falsehood" about money in issuing his ruling.

About an hour before the ruling came, prosecutors in the second-degree murder case again Zimmerman had filed a new motion requesting the bond revocation.They contended Zimmerman's wife knew about the donations he had collected through a PayPal account, but didn't mention the money at his bond hearing.

Zimmerman's PayPal account collected more than $200,000, his attorney later revealed.

"Defendant has intentionally deceived the court with the assistance of his wife, Shelley Zimmerman. During the jail phone calls both of them spoke in code to hide what they were doing," the motion read.

The judge said Zimmerman had misled the court at his bond hearing.

The defense says the finances are an innocent misunderstanding.

Prosecutors also argued that Zimmerman has a second passport in addition to the one he surrendered.

Zimmerman was previously released after making a bond that had been set at $150,000. On Friday, Judge Lester gave the 28-year old Zimmerman two days to turn himself in.

The defendant has repeatedly claimed he shot Trayvon Martin in self-defense on the night of Feb. 26 as the teen was walking in Zimmerman's Sanford, Fla. community.

by angryamerican499 June 7, 2012 7:24 PM EDT: To the prosecution team of George Zimmerman, ask both Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman to produce bank records that reflect that on the day that their telephone conversation took place they in fact had a balance of $135.00 and $80.00 in any financial account that reflected those amounts. I don't believe they will be able to produce that documentation.

WHAT BAD ELEMENT? Walking home from the local store in the rain wearing a hoodie with a bag of candy and a can of ice tea?

I've raised My CHILD NOT TO TALK to strangers.. george was STRANGER to TM a 17 year old kid legally by law by age for you naysayers.. the term KId doesn't only apply to other 17 year old KIDS who don't look like TM..

So GEORGE is the STUPID ONE in this.. WHO is he to confront ANYONE as a STRANGER in the MATTER he did? NO ONE!!! THAT WANTED TO BE SOMEONE..and FAKE A&& hero..

I don't wish GZ would have confronted my son in the matter he did with TM.. and if he did.. he and his LIEING family would be paying my family for generations to come if a fight ensued for starters...and the sanford police dept would NOT escape THEIR FAILURE to not elect DUE process for my son who is an AMERICAN..

georgie boy has proven he's a LOSER..wanna be cop and the bigger threat to the community time and time again..he's the bad element NOW for the 4th time with the police dept.. now its MURDER!..

CHECK youshelf on that as FACT GOODOLEBOY27.. you're as ridiculous as GZ.. make sure you don't find yourshelf in the SAME position as GZ with the same idealogy which landed GZ where he is presently.. Its becoming clearer as MOST of america of every race, creed and faith belief came togehter in PEACE to protest the freedom of a person who shot an unarmed 17 year old kid based upon a flawed law of NO ACCOUNTIABILITY..

Most PPL with an unbias COMMON SENSE and educated can see this is NOT a CUT AND DRY CASE to be CLOSED as the bias Sanford Dept HOPED FOR.. just make it do away.. after all its just a 17 year old black kid..up against a HISPANIC male the shooter..George Zimmerman..

WE NOW SEE the crediabilty of GZ WAS ALWAYS questionable.. along with his HISTORY OF VIOLENCE noted with the police dept... as an manipulator and liar..nothing changed..only this time its murder he's CHARGED WITH.. the TRAIN finally WRECKED and he's GOTTA PAY as the BAD ELEMENT WITH HISTORY DULY NOTED!

Skittles and Arizona Watermelon Tea (shown in the crime scene pictures) are popular for mixing "lean" - those two ingredients with codeine or Robitussin cough syrup. Trayvon talked with others on his Facebook page about mixing them to make "fire @ss lean."

If Martin was scared, why didn't he call 911?

If Martin was scared why didn't he scream for help when Zimmerman was running after him so the 911 operator on the phone with Zimmerman and neighbors would have heard him?

If Martin was scared, why didn't he go home while Zimmerman stopped to finish his 911 call?

..as I guess, you CAN't prove it.. and even if that is the case...doesn't state anything..nor justified a 28 year old over weight fat guy shooting a unarmed 17 year old KID.. where GZ lied again under oath..at the bond hearing stating to the Martin FAMILY.. he didn't know that Trayvon was as young as he was..when CLEARLY on the 911 tapes..he stated that the kid was a probably a teenager.. and as you stated such evidence is available to the public as well as GZ past history of VIOLENCE.. and BTW way I've research the LIE you stated about this LEAN crap with TM..and I found NO evidence..of the accusation to defamed TM..as so such of EXCUSE to justify the shooting and MURDER of a unarmed TEENAGER..

by Tim2710 June 2, 2012 10:39 PM EDT: I think calling it a code is overblown. All I could see is that they said $10 instead of $10 thousand. If I was in jail where other criminals might overhear, I wouldn't want to be talking about large amount of money.

Zimmerman will have a chance to explain it to a judge. He isn't the brightest guy so he may have thought the Paypal money wasn't to be used for bail.

If he was smart, he wouldn't have given 5 interviews to the police.

Might be a good thing for him to stay in jail. He won't need to spend so much on living expenses so will have more money for his defense.

Cinderella's two ugly sisters tried FORCING their big, fat, ugly, dinosaur-looking feet into tiny delicate glass slippers. Proof! Those stories were written centuries ago and later prevailed to demonstrate logic, truth, morals and ... evil ... exist in every day society: that the real facts are fairly often ... VERY ... different to the connecting story. (Um, I know, I'm a criminal journalist ... hence my interest in crime stories ... duh-uh.)

Also, if, as you claim Zimbo "wasn't the brightest guy" ... what the H#LL was he doing running around with guns in a family community? Your attempts to minimize Zimbo's very obvious guilt and manipulate a child, an innocent victim, as the main aggressor in this story demonstrates to me that you have an unnatural, very twisted (literally) fixation on getting Zimbo off. No matter the cost ... you just "pooh-pooh" away the very tangible string of hazardous dots that make up an exceptionally clear picture:

Zim was on the prowl for a victim to become a hero, in my opinion. He'd prowled for a long time beforehand; he reached his frustration tipping-point ... and BAM!!! The first innocent kid he saw, he mowed down as though he was cutting a hedge.

We heard Trayvon call out "Help!". We heard Zim, breathless ... HUNTING that child.

Will you and those trying so hard to make Zim an icon (vomit) answer this question:

WHY ... did we not hear Zim warn Trayvon? We heard everything else. We did NOT hear Zim say "Stop, or I'll shoot...". (Not that that was his right - to me, I feel he was hunting prey to feed his dwindling, low-self-esteem and faltered ego). Zim is the perp here. LOUD and clear. He slaughtered a minor ... and is, by dang, trying so very hard to get away with it.

Lies & cover-ups. Ha ha, cry me a river ... don't all the guilty perps come up with that BS, changing stories, coded messages from prison, deception, self-defense?

You know why he didn't call "Stop or I'll shoot?".

BECAUSE HE HAD NO INTENTION OF LETTING TRAYVON LIVE. He needed a trophy to validate his so-called "neighbourhood-watch". He evntually got one.

Put THAT ... in your pipe and smoke on. The above is my opinion, gleaned from all I've read and heard in this case.

The coverage in this case is so disappointing. Why can't the media quote the testimony of Zimmerman and his wife that is purported to be false?

Did they lie or did the prosecution just not ask the right questions?

The second passport was apparently turned over to the defense lawyer and he forgot to give it to the prosecution. That seems like a mistake on the lawyer's part.

If Zimmerman wanted to flee, he wouldn't want a passport in his name anyway given that he is so well known. He'd want a fake passport under another name.

He rang 911 for assistance - and then took th law into his own hands; he was asked to remain in his car; he didin't. Who's the freakin fool? Zimbo is!

Trayvon Martin was not a grown man; he's a minor; legally a child. Zim shot him to death. Trayvon was unarmed ... Zim was on a mission. Wow, it's sad to see some of you so insist that he was a grown man, an adult; shows desperation and seriously goes to consciousness of guilt ... cos there is so little else to hinge your "case" upon. In the eyes on the law, my friends, and in that upcoming courtroom ... NO-ONE is going to fast-forward Trayvon's life to that of an adult.

Especially not after Zimmerman cut short his life. Zimmerman's losing ground, big time. he is a liar; proven "rage artist", especially after battering a law enforcement officer. go ahead, fel free to call these claims BS. DeNile ... is not just a river in Egypt. It's also denial.

Georgie wasn't satisfied until HE murdered an african AMERICAN male..its my personal opinion..and I could care less what anyone thinks of my opinion..which is NO different than those who think georgie boy was justified to shot a 17 year old unarmed kid.

Following and/or approaching is not stalking.
It makes for dramatic spin, but it's not stalking.

A 911 operator hasn't the authority to order anyone to do anything they don't want to do.

Killing someone who is in the process of brutally beating you, is not murder and I think you are well aware of that!

Lastly and most importantly, Martin was not a boy, a child, a youth, or a kid.

Martin was a young man, 6'3" tall and towered over Zimmerman.

Don't forget, Martin's online handle was NoLimitNigga. He sounds like a wannabe gangster, like so many others in his agegroup!

The same thing applies to Martin.

Had Martin called 911, instead of chatting with his girlfriend, he'd be alive.

Had Martin screamed when Zimmerman ran after him, the 911 operator would have heard it, and Martin would be alive.

Had Martin gone to his nearby home while Zimmerman stopped to finish his 911 call, he'd be alive.


by Tim2710 June 2, 2012 8:11 PM EDT: Reasons to believe what Zimmerman said are that the physical evidence, his injuries and Martin's lack of injuries inflicted by Zimmerman's fists is consistent with self defense. He also passed a police lie detection test. The closest eyewitness said that before the gunshot Martin was on top of Zimmerman either hitting him MMA style or pinning him down.

Martin also did not call 911, did not scream for help when Zimmerman ran after him or the 911 operator would have heard it and Martin did not go to his nearby home, despite having plenty of time to do so while Zimmerman finished his 911 call.


by Tim2710 June 2, 2012 11:45 PM EDT: Zimmerman was not told to stay in his car. The 911 operator apparently did not even know Zimmerman was in a car.

After the gunshot, the police assumed Zimmerman was on foot so didn't even ask if he had driven or they would have impounded his car.

The 911 operator only suggested Zimmerman not follow after he was already following. Zimmerman replied "ok," and he stopped running, which is apparent on the 911 recording.

Zimmerman's in big, big trouble.

Think this is not the first time; think he's been reprieved once too often in his raging life. Then, July 2005 he battered an officer; he called LE 140-odd times against others; he chasedd an unarmed youth, caught him and a fight ensued. WHY ... WHY ... did he have to be such a hero and take off after Martin? Because he ws on the HUNT for trouble, IMO. On the HUNT for bravery award.

It is screamingly obvious he's lying; but .. all perps use the following ploys:

1. It's all misunderstanding
2. It was self defense
3. I'm broke
4. I was provoked ...

Zim's twisting his story; it'll change again ... and, IMO, he's extorting cash from citizens ... and he shot a MINOR and that minor called for help. Lord! All Trayvon did was go to late night store.

If there was "absolutely no evidence", there'd be ... absolutely no prosecution. However, it's all coming out in the wash. Zimmerman will not escape this time.

Someone contact the CDC, there's a new epidemic. The Madoff case showed it. Now the Zimmerman case proves it. Americans are fastly losing the ability to "rightly divide the truth". The statements by Zim and Witness "John" were obvious lies. One punch could have broke Zim's nose. A broken nose can cause the eyes to blacken. And if he fell from that punch, he could have hit his head. Zim's injuries were not indicative of someone being "repeatedly punched MMA style, or his head being repeatedly bashed against a concrete sidewalk. That witness has recanted, the altercation ended up on grass, Zim was not being beaten to death, in fact, witnesses saw Zim on top. He had the ability and legal responsibility to withdraw before using deadly force.

Once the above is realized, Zim's credibality was already shot. But for those without discernment, and for those who just don't want to see the truth, the judge put it plainly - "material falsehoods" - that legalese for "Zim, you lied".

A simple answer would have ended the confrontation!
