Nick Stahl Found: "Terminator 3" actor checks into rehab, wife says

'Terminator 3' actor Nick Stahl has reportedly entered rehab after being missing for more than a week.

(CBS) - "Terminator 3" actor Nick Stahl has reemerged a week after his wife reported him missing. E! News reports that Stahl contacted his wife, Rose Murphy, telling her that he has checked into rehab. Murphy confirmed that her husband entered such a facility Saturday night.

Sources earlier told E! News that Stahl also emailed friends to let them know he was safe. In the email, the 32-year-old actor reportedly apologizes to friends for worrying them and says he plans to get help in a rehabilitation facility.

Murphy reported him missing last Monday morning to Hollywood Division officers after not seeing him for five days. The couple had been separated since January, Murphy said. She filed court papers in February, saying she thought her husband was using drugs.

Muphy wanted Stahl to limit his contact with their young son and their 2-year-old daughter Marlo.

Stahl was a child star who first got attention for his performance in the 1993 film "The Man Without a Face."

As an adult, he appeared in the 2003-2005 HBO series "Carnivale'" and in 2003's "Terminator 3" as John Connor. He also starred in "Mirrors 2" in 2010.

I am a big fan of NICK STAHL, so my opinion may obviously be biased.
I don't think he is a loser, I think he is very gifted, intelligent, and handsome... but he is STILL just a human being who is going to make mistakes. True, he is in the public eye and has a greater responsibility as many do see him as an idol...but I have to admire the fact that he is trying to change for the better, he has shown concern for his family and friends by apologizing to them and taking the necessary steps to remedy the situation. He made his bed and he is ready to lie in it....instead of doing what most people do and blame his lifestyle, environment, or problems. He is clearly showing that he is accountable for his actions.....I applaud Nick Stahl, and I will continue to follow his work. I believe this will only make him stronger as a person, and I'm sure it will have a positive effect in his career as an actor. I, for one, was very happy to hear he was found safe.; Reply to this comment


by TwinkiToes May 22, 2012 3:14 AM EDT: Hollywood lethally pays, er, "stars" ridiculously too much. Hollywood (the movie/celeb industry) gives false egos to their "stars". These people lose reality; have no idea what money *really* is. Many srats ABUSE abuse fans. How? They, the stars, spend their (the fans') small fortunes of investment to watch, see & follow them. Then the stars get onto drugs, sex & rock 'n roll. Their fan base, particularly the vulnerable, think it's "so cool" to do drugs .. wear same clothes, act like they're nin action movies, demand high-end labels ... and to literally do as they please.

They see child-stars getting spoilt, going wild, doing their own thing ... so these younger fans especially ... mirror (um, said) "idols".

And then ... these stars drop like flies (from their own abhorent lifestyle) and turn themselves into the very maggots of the re-emerging cycle. Unstoppable.

More stars die from self-abuse than natural causes. And HEAVEN HELP anyone who is close to a mega-celeb when they die of their own addiction. Lord above ... doctors, friends, associates are all blamed. Try saying NO to these guys? Impossible.

Holly-loose-canons. And it all started with ... ridiculously lethal money. No sense of reality.

I trust this young man cracks a huge wake-up .. and does something more constructive with his life. Contribute to society, Stahl. Stop taking from life ... and being such a loser. Clean up your act and live a God-precious life. You've only got ONE life, buddy.
