Jogger finds skeletal remains in Manorville, NY, police say

Police investigating after a body was found in Manorville Hills County Park on Thursday, March 22, 2012

(CBS/AP) MANORVILLE, N.Y. - Long Island police are investigating after a body was found in a wooded area in Manorville Wednesday, near where separate human skeletal remains were discovered last month.

Suffolk County Police say a jogger came across the body in the woods at Manorville Hills Country Park on Wednesday. Homicide detectives combed the scene Wednesday night trying to find any evidence that may help them identify the person, CBS New York reports.

The gender or cause of death has not been determined and police did not say what condition the body was in.

On Feb. 17, police said a man walking his dog discovered skeletal remains in the Manorville area, which has been used as a dumping ground before.

In 2000 and 2003, the remains of two men were found in the same wooded area in Manorville. Two other dismembered bodies were later found in Manorville, and the heads of those torsos plus eight other corpses were later discovered miles away along a stretch of Long Island beach highway.

I think the entire population is happily ignorant, and happy to go to the mall and the beach - while the darkest of deeds continues to happen right under their noses. It's probably the Mayor and NYC police department. Murders are bad publicity for any city, it adversely affects tourism. The police department probably has orders to dump the victims outside of city limits to keep the murder rate down. Lets be realistic, Suffolk county has found more dead bodies than it has population, is proximate to NYC, has many secluded spots, soft sandy loomy soil for easy digging, a geriatric population of couch potatos or potatoes if you are a Republican, making it an ideal locale for hiding dead bodies. If it turns out it is not them, maybe it is just people dumping family members because of the cost of burials.

It is clearcut they have a serial killer(s) on their hands and a very smart one so you don't have to worry about being a suspect.
