Jesse Curtis Morton, suspect in 'South Park' online threats, pleads guilty

(CBS/AP) ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Jesse Curtis Morton, a Muslim convert from Brooklyn, pleaded guilty Thursday to using a website he founded to post online threats against the creators of the "South Park" television show and others he deemed enemies of Islam.

The 33-year-old Morton, also known as Younus Abdullah Mohammad, was charged last year with communicating threats and has been in custody since he was arrested in Morocco in October.

At plea hearing Thursday in federal court in Alexandria, Va., Morton pleaded guilty to conspiracy, communicating threats and using the Internet to intimidate. Morton faces up to five years in prison for each of the three charges when he is sentenced on May 18.

Last year, another operator of the Revolution Muslim website, Zachary Chesser, was sentenced to 25 years in prison. He admitted he posted threats against the "South Park" creators for an episode that supposedly defamed the prophet Muhammad.
