Dog walkers find human head in plastic bag in Hollywood Hills
Hiker and dogs where a human head was found in the Hollywood hills
(Credit: CBS/KCAL)(CBS) HOLLYWOOD HILLS, Calif - Dog walkers found a human head near a popular Southern California hiking trail, reports CBS Los Angeles.
Around 2:30pm Tuesday, two of the nine dogs with the walkers started playing with the head, which was wrapped in a plastic bag in the area above Bronson Canyon, police said.
Investigators closed off the trail while they searched the area of other body parts and opened a homicide investigation. The search is set to continue Wednesday morning.
No other details have been released.
