Jury selection begins in Yeardley Love UVA lacrosse murder case

(Credit: UVA Media Relations)(CBS) CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - More than 300 potential jurors reported to a Virginia courthouse today as jury selection in the trial of George Huguely began, reports NBC affiliate WVIR.

Huguely is charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend, University of Virginia lacrosse player Yeardley Love, 22, who was found dead in her apartment in May 2010.
Huguely was also a student at UVA. Police believe Huguely kicked in the door of Love's apartment and slammed her head against the wall, killing her.
The trial is scheduled to begin February 6.
