On Wednesday's episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Nash, 56, said she's starting to get stronger.
The animal ripped off Nash's hands, nose, lips and eyelids during the February 2009 attack. She's being treated at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Nash says she no longer has eyes, eats everything through a straw and can't breathe through her nose. But she says she isn't in pain and often goes for walks.
Nash also says it feels like "patches of tape or gauze" are covering her face. Mercifully, she doesn't remember anything from the attack.
Nash has filed a $50 million civil suit against Sandra Herold, the chimpanzee's owner and Nash's former employer. Herold has said Nash is entitled only to a workman's compensation claim, because Herold was running a towing company in which the animal played a promotional role. She kept the chimpanzee as a pet and ran the business out of her home.
Travis the chimp was shot dead by police who arrived at the scene.
