Mueller was reportedly arrested for a DUI in 1996 and for cocaine possession in 2001, according to police reports obtained by E! Online.
Mueller and Sheen made headlines recently after she told police her husband pinned her on a bed, put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her in a Christmas Day fight that began when she said she wanted a divorce.

On Wednesday, her lawyer said she wanted to patch things up regardless and didn't understand that police would arrest her husband when responding to her 911 distress call.
More than a decade before the two married, Mueller had her own arrest to contend with.
On Sept. 13, 1996, a Palm Beach police officer spotted a 19-year-old Mueller driving erratically, according to the police report obtained by E! Online. Driving with three other passengers, Mueller crashed her Chevy Corsica into a road sign. She was arrested for driving under the influence and causing damage to property, but the case against her was ultimately dropped, according to the entertainment website.
Mueller was arrested again in Florida on March 2001 for cocaine possession, according to a police report. That charge was eventually dropped as well, as tests showed she had no drugs in her system, according to E! Online.
Monday, Dec. 28, police released an arrest warrant affidavit which quotes Mueller saying that on Chrstimas morning Sheen straddled her on a bed with one hand grasping her neck and the other holding a knife. She said Sheen told her: "You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I'll kill you."
He also told her, "Your mother's money means nothing, I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won't leave any trace," according to the affidavit.
Sheen denied threatening his wife with a knife or choking her, and told officers they had slapped each other on the arms and that he had snapped two pairs of her eyeglasses in front of her, according to the affidavit.
An ambulance was sent to their house in Aspen, Colorado, but police say no one was taken to the hospital.
Since the incident, lawyers for Sheen and Mueller have said the pair want to work things out, but Mueller stands by the statement she gave police.
Charlie Sheen stars in CBS' "Two and a Half Men" and Brooke Mueller is a real estate investor. The couple married in May 2008.
