Sandra Bullock Battles Porn Star Janine Lindemulder for Child Custody

PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS/AP) Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock is embroiled in a custody battle between her husband and his porn star ex-wife.

Bullock is standing by her celebrity-mechanic husband, Jesse James, as he fights his ex-wife Janine Lindemulder's attempts to regain custody of their five-year-old daughter, Sunny.

James has had sole guardianship of the child since Lindemulder, an adult film star and director, was jailed for tax evasion.

Federal prosecutors on August 22, 2008 said Lindemulder, 39, of Huntington Beach, Calif., failed to pay more than $200,000 in taxes owed to the Internal Revenue Service.

As part of her plea agreement, Lindemulder admitted making a down payment on a $647,000 house in Eugene, Calif. and purchasing a new Jeep and recreational vehicle while knowing she owed the taxes.

She served six months behind bars and was recently released.

James is determined not to let his ex gain custody of their daughter, because, according to court papers, he fears his little girl would be introduced to a dangerous world if she lived with her mother.

In a statement to the court, James says, "Good cause exists for the court to conduct a review to determine if (Sunny) will be safe with (Lindemulder). She should be restrained from allowing the child around pornographers, drug addicts, guns and firearms, felons and other unsafe environments."

Lindemulder started her film career in B movies and appeared in a soft porn film, "Caged Fury," alongside non-porn actor Erik Estrada, according to IMDB.com. She has posed for Playboy and Penthouse. Since 2000, she has shifted from adult performing to directing and producing erotic films, according to IMDB.com.

Bullock, who has no biological children, recently admitted she relishes her role as stepmom to James' three kids.

According to CBS affiliate KOIN-TV, She explained, "I may never hear that word 'mom.' But being a parent is not about breeding. It's about caring."

"When you don't have that title, you flounder and it hurts. But this is the best test of being a parent. And I just have to keep reminding myself I don't care what I get. I care what I give."

Janine, thank you for writing your side of the story-your feelings and thoughts.
Whatever you do, don't sign away your parental rights. If you are adamant in gaining custody of your child Sunny, now that Ms. Bullock is no longer in the home with her husband, it does change the environment of the child greatly. You should start taking parenting classes, drug tests, and child-proof your home to be able to show the court you are truly sincere in having your daughter back in your care and home.
What is sad is many of the movie stars enroll their children in out of country boarding schools while they tend to their filmmakings.
What puzzles me is; during the time Ms. Bullock was filming her last film she saw nothing of Sunny nor the rest of the children. Phone calls and emails to the children while she was on location is not the same as being a full time mom. Suppose Sunny is put into one of these boarding schools out of the country, how will you and the father and any of the family members be able to visit with Sunny?
It is all up to you Janine, in how much you want your child back in your life, if you do, show the court all your current accomplishments and clean record and safe home, afterall, you are the bio mom with much rights.

Well said, Janine. And, frankly, it's not any of our business to have an opinion on, just the usual intrigue we kill time with in a less spectacular life than many who are celebrities. I do know from my own single parenting experience that nobody benefits from any *** for tat actions against one another. And one thing will never change regardless of whether any of you choose to work together or against one another: Sunny only has one real mother and one real father. Nobody's perfect...but to your kids, your parents are regardless of any bangs or dings you bring upon yourself in life. They see how you handle those bangs and dings and hopefully take those lessons and make themselves even better than we are. I wish you all the best always.

Hello, my name is Janine Aikman, Sunnys mother. It saddens me to read things so many of you know nothing about. You clearly love the drama and think you have it all figured out. That's not quite the case. For the record Sandra has done an incredible job helping to raise our daughter. And Jesse is a good, decent father...they care and love the kids more than life itself. As do I. I'm 41 and a free spirit I made a choice to partake in the Adult Industry when I was 18 without much thought to the future...if I knew then what I know now I would have altered my thinking. But my life is my journey and I will take the good with the bad ...what pains me the most is how I've hurt people around me. I'm here finishing out my last couple months here in Portland at a wonderful halfway house. Maybe this year away was what I needed to help change the chapter of my life. I'm not drugged out, not at all, although I might look the part with my ever growing collection of tattoos. I haven't shot a porn movie in 4 years....I've never directed or produced an adult film, hell, I don't even own any! I'm not a bad mother, I've made bad, questionable choices in my life but where I'm at today, life is good. Healthy,focused and I'm on a healing, loving, gentle, non-judgemental, journey though this difficult, painful time. Feel free to judge if you must, but my felon of a husband (who himself is on the same healing journey), myself, my 2 glorious children know the truth. We are on to a life consisting of communication, healing, learning, growing, laughter, happiness, and I pray one day Sandra and Jesse can put their issues aside work with us together as a team. I absolutely believe Jesse abused you emotionally, physically, etc..I consider myself an Empath and I recently at 40 yrs old, realized how incredible my intuition was ans is. I have never watched a porno in my life. lol Funny, because I am a exotic dancer. I have been shamed and judged for my profession my entire adulthood. I love Performance Art, I know you do as well. The fact that I do not watch porn , yet I do NOT judge porn stars tells you a bit about me. Like, I am not an idiot. I do not shame women sexually for their choices, that would make me a "Jesse", a "Batterer". I stood up for you countless times to bloggers on many sites. I know the shame society puts on sexual women, it is disturbing. Here is something interesting: Did you know in the Bible there are many many verses about Harlots? Did you know God has so much compassion for Harlots (strippers/prostitutes,porn stars, etc..) that is actually says in the Bible , WE are second in line after children to Heaven. It is true. It shocked me to learn this, but it makes pERFECT sense. GOD IS GOOD, God knows damn well what we went through that brought us to this sexual culture. God understands Harlots better than anyone and loves us immensely. He feels our pain, about how society "fcks" with us by shaming us and trying to beat us down.

Critics are saying that although Sandra Bullock?s new film is certainly a great movie, it is also really racial, and quite demeaning towards African American people at large.
Apparently the boy?s real mother is portrayed as so incompetent she couldn?t tell how many kids she had, or who their fathers were.
I think though that the real story is one of humanity, after all Leigh Anne played by Sandra Bullock seriously gave the boy ?big mike? an unbelievable opportunity in life?Having read a bit about Sandra Bullock, you could say she is not so unlike the character she plays. I learned more about her here.

my problem is not with her tax issues or her directing porn. My issue is with her new husband's arrest record. Guns, manufacturing drugs etc. There was a show on Discovery a few years back before Sunny was born and it show Jesse &#38; Janine dating etc. Janine was arrested for assault &#38; was a bit crazy on the show. That is more concern for me then the porn thing. Sandra's fame shouldn't have anything to do with it.

I am fully aware from personal experience of what love and stability a stepmother can provide to a child who cannot receive that from her biological mother.
There should be a hearing on the matter if a significant change of circumstances exist to support the best interests of the child. So,if the James' can prove that Sunny is experiencing harmful conditions under the current custody arrangement and this was NOT the case when the prior order was made (i.e.; "a change of circumstances"), then the law says there should be a hearing to determine NOW what is best for Sunny.
Regarding Sandra Bullock as stepMOM...I 100% agree that crucial bonds are formed even when you are not a biological parent. In this case, since the biological mother fails to properly parent the child and the father can, along with his new wife who can and does properly parent the child, that is most definitely in the child's best interests and supports a change in custody. I wish James' good luck....sounds like they are doing the best thing for this child.

I have plenty of friends that are bikers and they are very family oriented. My kids are around bikers alot and I think the funniest thing is they might seem rough and tough but when you see them down on the floor with your baby and talking baby talk with them, how tough are they really. I do not think that the porn star should get her daughter back. I think that Sunny should stay with James and Bullock they seems like much better role models to me. Maybe she should have thought about her choices before she lost her daughter. What is more important to her? I think all that she is worried about is HERSELF AND NOT HER DAUGHTER.

There is no doubt in anyone's mind that knows Jesse James that he is by far one of the worst people you will meet. Wake up Sandra whether he acts one way around you, the fact remains that to the people that know him he is a BAD PERSON!
