Hollywood Synagogue Shooting: LAPD Searches For Suspects in Shooting of Two Men

(CBS)
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Police have put extra patrols at Jewish schools and temples in Los Angeles after a gunman shot and wounded two men in a parking garage at a North Hollywood synagogue.
A teenage male was detained by the LAPD after the two men were shot in the legs before services Thursday morning.
Officer Rosario Herrera said she's not sure if the juvenile is connected to the shooting at the Adat Yeshurun Valley Sephardic synagogue.
Police were continuing to look for possible suspects. Herrera said the victims were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition.
A man with a handgun entered the building at about 6:20 a.m., according to police, who say they are investigating the shooting as a hate crime.
It was not clear how many people were in the building at the time. The synagogue telephone line was busy.
The attack occurred 10 miles from a 1999 shooting at a Jewish community center.
