Sahel Kazemi Photos: Exclusive Never-Before-Seen Pictures of Steve McNair's Lover

NEW YORK (CBS) CBS News' Crimesider has obtained exclusive access to never-before-seen photos and pictures of Sahel Kazemi, girlfriend of murdered ex-NFL star Steve McNair.

Police say Kazemi shot and killed McNair, then herself, in McNair's Nashville apartment July 4. However, an inconclusive gun-shot residue test, an unclear time-line and new text-message conversations, tell a complicated story that the CBS News Investigative Unit has worked to unravel.

McNair's Lover: Exclusive Photos
Kazemi was a 20-year-old waitress whose friends described her as outgoing and optimistic.
She had told her family that she and McNair were planning to move in together, and that he had already separated from his wife.
But Nashville authorities' theory of the crime casts Kazemi as a distraught woman, who was in debt, had been recently arrested for DUI, and whose life was "spinning out of control."

However, those closest to Kazemi — speaking for the first time — say that questions remain.
"I still feel like something is missing, I don't think Jenny ever shot McNair, I don't think Jenny shot herself," Lakresia Polite, a friend of Kazemi's said. Some of Kazemi's friends called her Jenny.
Now, Kazemi's family has provided CBS News with exclusive access to never-before-seen photos of the young woman who, they say, doesn't match at all the suicidal murderer that police have described.
