DJ Seasunz Kills Girlfriend "Sweet Princess" Jaclyn Torrealba (Pictures), Say Cops

NEW YORK (CBS) Jaclyn Elisse Torrealba was just starting her undergraduate studies when her promising life was cut short in a violent altercation with her boyfriend, popular Miami disc-jockey, DJ Seasunz, who, according to police, drove around town with her body in the passenger seat of his car after he killed her.

Torrealba was 18 years old and a freshman at Florida International University when she and Portieles, 30, got into a dispute which ended in her death, according an Oct. 12 arrest report from the Miami-Dade police.

"Jackie was such an amazing girl. She always had a smile on her face she was funny, she was a great dancer," Melissa Saavedra, the victim's high school debate partner, told Crimesider in a phone interview Monday.

Friends described Torrealba as a teen who loved to have fun and party, but who also managed to find balance in her life and dedicate herself to her studies.

Saavedra said that Torrealba was an Advanced Placement student and ranked within the top 50 students at the high school where her father teaches biology, and described her friend as a "very smart girl."

Torrealba was interested in studying law or politics, Saavedra said.
"She knew how to balance school and night life," Andres Tamayo, a high school friend, told Crimesider. "She was a party animal … and an awesome friend," he said.

"What I liked about her is that she was always full of life, great personality, beautiful smile, and she knew how to have a good time," Mario Perez, who met Torrealba a few times through friends, told Crimesider.

Her father, Pablo Torrealba, wrote on his daughter's Facebook page, confirming her death to friends who had been worried about the teen since she went missing Sunday, Oct. 11. Pablo Torrealba wrote, "My sweet little princess, so much joy you gave me with every smile, so much happiness with every hug, so much love with every gaze ... you will forever be with us."
