Marwa Ali El Sherbini: Trial Set for Alleged Neo-Nazi Accused of Killing Pregnant Muslim Woman

DRESDEN, Germany (CBS/AP) The trial of a man who fatally stabbed pregnant Egyptian woman Marwa Ali El Sherbini in a German courtroom is expected to begin in late October.

A 28-year-old Russian-born German identified only as Alex W. is facing charges of murder, attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm for fatally stabbing Marwa Ali El Sherbini, 31, in July. He wounded her husband in the same attack.

Prosecutors say he was motivated by hate for non-Europeans and Muslims.

Marwa Ali El Sherbini was at a Dresden courtroom to testify against Alex W. after filing a complaint against him accusing him of insulting her with racial slurs. In a shocking courtroom outburst, Alex W. allegedly stabbed Sherbini to death.

Her killing caused outrage in Egypt and beyond.

The regional court in Dresden said in a statement Thursday that Oct. 26 has been chosen as the start date, to be finalized next week.

Neo-nazis are a problem as this troubling report demonstrates. However,
neo-nazis AREN'T the ones bombing hotels or flying airplanes into skyscrapers, so let's put things in perspective.

This is a disgrace?

How many times has CBS run a story on Muslim honor killings where Muslim women are killed because they adopted Western ways, or run away from a forced marriage to a man they don't love or even know, or they wish to marry a non-Muslim, or leave an abusive Muslim husband, or simply refusing to wear a hijab?

According to the Muslim-dominated UN, the number of "reported honor killings" was 5,000 annually. The number that go UNREPORTED is more like 100,000 per year.

Has the Muslim-in-Chief ever said one, single word about Muslim honor killings?

He has never said one, single negative word about Muslims. NEVER!

After denying that he was never a Muslim or had any Muslim influence, roots all through the campaign, he could not stop talking about how wonderful was Islam, and his exposure to it in three countries, and about all the (bogus) contributions that Muslims have made to this country, and how Islam is exactly like Christianity and Judaism today.

Yet, whenever there is a BOGUS Muslim hate crime, and there are about 100 bogus ones to any real one, the hopelessly misguided liberals are all over it.

What an ignoble way to find out your news room is biased, especially with all the claims otherwise.
CBS, NBC, ABC, (Crazy Like A) Fox News all have the same habit of avoiding the color of news and only giving coverage (credence) to those who are lily white.
They don't report missing black kids or positive stories of any folks of color unless its a hapless white kid on a bus full of black kids or a black honor student beaten to death, now it takes a mad man to make you take a look at your own prejudice.
Here's a bone for you; an hour of extended news/human interest coverage of such stories would increase both your viewers and your coffers.
Grow up and come into the 20th century, then catch up from there.

What is a double disgrace is that the mass media in Germany has made it its point to emphasize that he is Russian-born. And this has been copied by the US media too. Germans are ashamed of the act and just need to find a scapegoat. They claim that the murderer was indoctrinated by some religious and racial hate in Russia which is absolute nonsense.
I have studied his case a bit further. He immigrated to Germany as a kid with his mother on the basis of being ethnic Germans (Germany have problem under which they accept ethnic Germans and give them citizenship). They were hugely ostrasized by the German society and were considired second-sort people. At the same time the neo-nazi organizations in Germany don't make difference between immigrants or not. They only care about your race (caucasian or not). A boy with a fragile mind ostrasized by the people in his new homeland finally found a place where he was accepted and taken as an equal one. Of course he took their ideas of religious and racial hate and started acting accordingly.
The Germans while in need of immigrants have real problems with creating equal opportunities for them. And this is where the roots of this violence lie.

This is an absolute disgrace that this hasn't been publicized as much as it should have. It's digusting that these sort of crimes are still happening. It's 2009 if you don't like someone because of their skin color or religion you need to point the gun towards yourself!
