Mich. Mom Aimee Louise Sword Seduced Son She Gave Up For Adoption, Say Police

DETROIT (CBS) When Aimee Louise Sword, a central Michigan woman, used the Internet to locate a son she gave up for adoption over a decade ago, few could imagine that the reunion of the two could lead to anything sinister.

But police allege exactly that, saying that Sword, 35, seduced her long-lost biological son and had sex with the teenage boy sometime after they were reunited.

Sword's lawyer, Kenneth Burch, has defended his client against these troubling charges.

She maintains her "presumption of innocence," he told local Michigan news site mlive.com. The accusations "have been very difficult for her," he said.

Sword has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct in the case.

Waterford Township police say that Sword was arrested on April 24th after their detectives were informed of the sex abuse accusations by Child Protective Services, reports mlive.com.

She remains free on bail.

Due to the boy's age and nature of the case, CBS will not release further details on him.

On Sword's MySpace page, she quotes rap artist Lil' Kim. "She rises during the worst of obstacles," she wrote in August and noted the quote, "Reminded me of myself."

This mom, regardless of whatever biological screwed-upedness she may have had from adopting the kid out, is still responsible for her actions. Those actions happen to be nasty and very illegal. aime l sword is definitely an attractive looks. however that does not influence or explains her act of having sex with her biological produce. global opinion pouring herein against her is all a relativity to being politically correct. we are in a particular stage of human civilization wherein we define certain out of the place conducts by someone only with our limited understanding on the subject depending on our socio-economic upbringings. while talibans in the planet may declare an award on her head, some more moderate types may choose intellectual engagement on that count but limitations of understanding are clearly on display with most taking an adverse view on the subject. and this race to being politically correct may only be ascribed to the very little progress that our civilisation in general has made. On one count you have the advanced & splendid european/american civilisations and then you have the barbaric ones like talibans and so on.

within my country, India, i would compare our Khajurao age civilisation which had a peek in our culture and an advancement to speak of as compared to the confused one which exists today that is progressing with uttermost restraint. the art work of sexual conduct of the khajurao age civilisation can only be described well behaved in relativity to the social environment at that time, however the best of moderates of our present day civilisation will not be able to endorse those conducts for our present genre.

what aime l sword has done needs a look forward by our genre and a generous understanding of that out of the league conduct rather than grooving out decisive adverse statements.

I remember amiee and her precious little son it has been a long time. I worked at felices in waterford twp and remember her as a loving mother. I was in shock that she would have given him up in the first place. I can't believe she has become this sick. She obviously needs help.

She is smokin hot. She gave the kid up for adoption, there is no bond there. I hope he banged her silly. She is much better than any teenage girl he can get. All that experience the oral must have been great.

She's not that great looking. Plus, their is a bond, it's called DNA. Plus if they both knew who they were with, that's gross. I guess life is all about sex to you, everything else is just secondary.

I agree with AbrazoAdoption. Closed adoption causes immense sorrow and suffering to too many birthmothers and adoptees. They never fully recover from all the intense psychological damage that results. The pain lasts a lifetime and never ends!

Did you know that to the rest of the world, American style closed adoptions are considered cruel and barbaric which indeed it is! But then its a corrupt huge money making industry in which babies are are bought and sold to the highest bidders in the most horrific human trafficking scheme!

An example is Madonna who recently used her wealth and power as a celebrity to buy a child from a poor desperate country. Meantime, idiots were lining up to ooh and ahh at how wonderful the selling of young children is to wealthy celebrity white women! Happens every time!

CBS really needs to do a program on the corruption of child selling, and the damage that results in those caught up in adoption rings.

C'mon CBS, its time to tell it like it is! Money under the table, coercion and intimidation of young birthmothers and children reduced to meat for same on the table.

The parents have rights too. They have the right to not want anything to do with the child they gave up for adoption. I'd like to see proof to your claim that the rest of the world considers closed adoption cruel and barbaric. As for Madonna adopting that kid, I say good for the kid because he essentially just won the lottery

Sadly, genetic sexual attraction is one of the horrific (and not completely uncommon) after-effects of closed adoption. Sensational as this story may seem at first read, it really says less about the criminal intentions of this unfortunate birthmother than it does about the devastating impact that secrecy can have in the lives of adoptees and birthparents who are denied continued contact in the years following an adoption. For CBS News to fail to offer any balancing information regarding the well-documented phenomenon of G.S.A. in the reporting of this tragedy is reprehensible.
