Phillip Garrido: Jaycee Dugard's Girls "Slept in My Arms Every Single Night"

PLACERVILLE, California (CBS/AP) The man suspected of snatching 11-year-old Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991 and hiding her for nearly two decades in his backyard gave a rambling, sometimes incoherent phone interview in which he claimed to sleep every every night with Jaycee Lee Dugard's children in his arms.

During an Aug. 27 interview with KCRA-TV from the El Dorado County jail Phillip Garrido said, "I tell you here's the story of what took place at this house, and you're going to be absolutely impressed... It's a disgusting thing that took place from the end to the beginning. But I turned my life completely around."

Phillip Garrido said he had not admitted to a kidnapping and that he had turned his life around since the birth of his first daughter 15 years ago.

"It is a story about turning a person's life around and having those two children, those two girls, they slept in my arms every single night," Phillip Garrido said as he started to cry.

In addition to kidnapping allegations, court records showed Phillip Garrido and his wife were being held for investigation of rape by force, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and kidnapping someone under 14 with intent to rape. Phillip Garrido also faces allegations of sexual penetration.

Dugard, who was 11 when she was abducted from a South Lake Tahoe street in 1991, was kept behind a series of fences, sheds and tents, even giving birth to Phillip Garrido's two children in the suburban backyard compound less than 200 miles from her childhood home.

1. Phillip likes little girls
2. Nancy likes to help Phillip.
3. Phillip steals a little girl with Nancy's help. Rapes her, Jaycee, and has a baby. She was 14 when she had Starlet so was probably preggies at 13.
ok If he was rehabilitated after Starlet was born there never would have been an Angel.
4. Phillip continues to rape Jaycee. Jaycee pregnant again at 17 has second little girl at 18. First little girl is now 3. If anyone knows about children, a three year old no longer looks like a baby, they look like "little girls" they act like "little girls."
5. Phillip kicks Jaycee to the curb. She stated he has not had sex with her in years. Of course not. After second child she no longer looks like a little girl. However, he never throws anything away - look at all the junk he keeps - and Jaycee is useful in running his business. So Jaycee becomes like Nancy - a walking piece of furniture. However, Nancy could have always left, Jaycee has no hope for that and by now no desire. She cannot leave her babies, where would she go. This is now the only world she knows.
6. Phillip now sleeping (without sex apparently) with a little girl.
7. Second little girl no longer a baby and joins in Phillp's bed.
8. Phillip is in seventh heaven for a pedophile. He is now sleeping with TWO LITTLE GIRLS. He may not be having sex with them but you can be sure he is carressing them and most likely touching them in inappropriate ways. But they would not know any difference since they were brought up that way.
9. New story Jaycee seen riding in van 10 months after kidnapping. Now Phillip rides around with his two new tropies which he can show off because they are off the grid. They are not kidnapped. He can brag and be proud about - Look at my two Little Girls.
He has not changed. He is still into little girls. He is still a sicko.
He has no real love for them or for Jaycee. That was not a real family. He just never throws stuff away.; Reply to this comment

How can that go on for so long, DECADES, in a residential area???????
Instead of the neighbors wasting time on calling this monster names, If they would have payed close attention to what was really going on in that house, then "MAYBE" that monster would have been behind bars many years ago. We as Neighbors have jobs to!!!!!!!

I can't believe some of the comments I have heard from the neighbors!! How can they sleep @ night knowing that they could of stopped this years ago????

It will take years of intensive therapy for her to even realize that. I saw the women he kidnapped before this case interviewed by Larry king. This man told her "All I want is a piece of ass" Then he took her to a storage and handcuffed her before raping her for 8 hours. She got away. She wasn't 11 yrs old.
I hope the prisons Phillip and Nancy are going to are watching this.
I hope the prisoners with kids can IMAGINE... if this woman held their 11 yr old down while Phillip was telling an 11 yr old, "all I want is a piece of ass." I also believe this Perv has probably committed all kinds of crimes. His picture should be sent to all the storage units in the state for identification in hopes that someone will recognize the name or photo. Would neutering even cure this guy? At least she wouldnt have had to mother this guys kids.

As a father I would want some retribution on this guy. I know 2 wrongs dont make it right but... I dont think I could hold back.

Maybe if all sex offenders were neutered & had to bear a tatoo across their forehead when they were so stupidly released from jail....then maybe they would think twice about re offending like most of them always do!!!

I still believe that both Phillip Garrido, 58, and his 54-year-old wife, Nancy Garrido, deserve the death penalty for kidnapping 11-year-old Jaycee Lee Dugard in 1991. No if nor but - they both deserve to be executed ASAP. I refuse to see my hard-earned tax dollars wasted on these two trashy thugs!

This is the problem with America today. When Americans see something wrong in in their own backyard, the first and only reaction seems to be keeping their head down and their mouth shut because they don't have the b*lls to even so much as question something out of place.

Both the police and this guy's parole officer should be charged with direlection of duty. What kind of supervision is that? You have an obligation to visit the home of an offender, not his porch! Neighbors complained about what they saw but the police failed to PROPERLY investigate those complaints.
The whold situation is utterly disgusting and sickening!
