Carrie Prejean and Miss California Pageant Settle Boob Job, Gay Marriage Suits

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) A former Miss California, Carrie Prejean, and organizers of the state beauty pageant, have settled dueling lawsuits surrounding Prejean's high-profile stand on gay marriage, and her much-remarked-upon breast implants.
Now, everyone can stand down.
A joint statement released Tuesday says Prejean and pageant organizers reached a confidential settlement on both legal fronts.
In August, Prejean sued Miss California USA organizers for libel, slander and religious discrimination. She accused them of telling her to stop mentioning God, even before she made controversial remarks against gay marriage.
Prejean was fired in June after pageant officials accused her of missing events, an allegation that she denied.
Then last month, in a retaliatory strike in the "pageant wars," the Miss California producers countersued Prejean over those breast implants.
Pageant organizer "K2 Productions" alleged Prejean owed $5,200, for breast implants the pageant paid for at Prejean's request. According to the suit, Prejean requested the surgery "to be more competitive" at the 2009 Miss USA pageant, and further, agreed to repay the loan that "K2 Productions" fronted.
Seems the parties figured that one out, too.
Their joint statement says Prejean and the pageant "wish each other the best in their future endeavors."
A touching goodbye.
The next Miss California USA will be crowned Nov. 22.
