COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) "Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer is expected to attend the parole hearing for a man convicted of killing Grammer's sister in 1975.

Eighteen-year-old Karen Grammer was abducted on July 1, 1975, outside a Red Lobster restaurant after an attempted robbery. She was raped and stabbed in the throat and back.

Fifty-two-year-old Freddie Glenn, who is serving a life sentence in Karen Grammer's slaying, is eligible for parole.

A Department of Corrections spokeswoman says Grammer plans to attend Monday's hearing at the Limon Correctional Facility in Limon, about 90 miles southeast of Denver.

Colorado law no longer allows parole for those sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder. Glenn was convicted before the Legislature changed the law in 1990, so it doesn't apply to his case.

Surely anyone capable of that type of crime will be kept behind bars.

I guess a life sentence doesn't mean a life sentence.

I read somewhere once that the average "lifer" in the US gets out in 17 years.

Proud Churchgoer:

You are a FRAUD! You are not any churchgoer, except for the CHURCH OF SATAN! I have read some of your posts and your truth is not representative of any religion that believes in God.

You are purposely trying to INCITE people against Christians. Come and get it I have someone I want you to meet!

Colorado law was changed so they no longer have the option of parol for a murderer like this. The old law that applies to this guy says they have a choice to go either way. I say, the parol board needs to recognize the new law and say: "I know we have the choice and our choice is to do what is rught under the new law", Ergo, no parol, not now, not ever.

My goodness proud_churchgoer (AKA Mrs_Trepidation) you certainly have got the fish in a feeding frenzy. That chum post really got their attention didn't it! Some of these are new fish, so treat them gently when you release them. I suspect some may not go for the bait in the future, but today they're biting pretty good. Good day & good fishing!

OK folks, I guess I have to post this again.

Proud_churhgoer is a TROLL.

She has been on these message boards for months under many different names. Some of her past names include: ms_premise, gop_4ever, gop_will_win, gop_hockeymom _and these are just the ones I remember since October 2008.

Pay her no attention and maybe she will go away again. Or ask her about the little blonde-haired, blue-eyed baby Jesus and getting into heaven.

Gotta be able to recognize a troll by the footprints it leaves in the sand.

Really, this is the best way to handle the proud_churchgoer.

Proud Churchgoer sounds like one of those whacko fundamentalist religious nuts. There is no justification whatsoever for a woman to be raped and viciously killed. I hope Kelsey Grammar will be able to keep this scum convict behind bars forever.

As for the murderer getting out on parole I think he should just rot where he is. Fight the good fight Kelsey!
