Port-A-Potty Baby

CAMBRIDGE, MD. (CBS) A Maryland woman gave birth inside of a portable toilet and then wandered off… without the baby.

Witnesses say that they saw Candy Michelle Vignari exit the portable toilet covered in blood, reports CBS affiliate WBOC. They then discovered a newborn baby wrapped in a towel in the toilet and promptly called police.

As law enforcement officers arrived, Vignari returned to the portable toilet to retrieve her baby.

Police took the infant from her, says WBOC.

Authorities believe she intended to abandon the infant.

Come on, people. The woman was in shock. Abandon child? No. The woman was in shock.

by andacar July 6, 2009 4:31 PM EDT: Nope. This story came out several days ago. She calmly walked off and borrowed a cigarette from somebody. When somebody went to the toilet after her, she nonchalantly told them she'd just had a baby and it was still in there. This wasn't shock. It was pure, cold indifference. In fact, that's what she's beeen charged with.
