Dr. Conrad Murray considers testifying about Michael Jackson's death

(CBS/AP) LOS ANGELES - Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician charged in Michael Jackson's death, says he is still undecided about whether he will take the stand.

"At this time, I have not made a final decision," Murray said after testimony concluded Monday. When Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor asked Murray when he would decide, the cardiologist said in a soft voice, "It depends on how the case progresses, sir."

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and faces up to four years behind bars and the loss of his medical license if convicted.

Murray's statements came after the prosecution's intense grilling of Dr. Paul White, an anesthesia expert who said he believes Jackson injected himself with the fatal dose of propofol when Murray left his bedside on June 25, 2009.

After asking only eight questions Monday morning, Deputy District Attorney David Walgren got White to acknowledge that Murray had repeatedly violated the physician's standard of care.

Throughout the day, White also told jurors that he would never have done what Murray was doing - giving Jackson propofol as a sleep aid.

"I wouldn't even consider it," White said. "It's something no amount of money could convince me to take on."

Notice how he remains eerily stoic and expressionless; he knows he screwed up. This doctor has betrayed the Hippocratic Oath; he is guilty as sin. However, Michael also had a huge responsibility in his own demise. Say no to drugs. The pharmaceutical and medicine industry are the biggest fraud.
Nearly 800 thousand people die every year in the USA from iatrogenic diseases (diseases caused by medical treatment - Physician-induced) As the Christ was the most famous victim of crucifixion Michael Jackson is the most famous victim of iatrogenic diseases (I'm not implying any parallelism or likeness between MJ and the Christ other than what is explicitly said in this comment, if you have a problem with that; it's your problem) - Also, say no to the numerous MJ' s exploitation out there. Joe Jackson is still pursuing to launch a line of perfumes with a professional crook. I hope he doesn't. That prosecutor, David Walgren, is awful. He's smug, petty, and treats all the defense witnesses like garbage. It's overkill. He'll do everything he can to rip Murray apart. I have no respect at all for Walgren--he's nothing more than a bully in a business suit.

Murray was a good doctor who got caught up in the world of a self-destructive druggy. F'loons are too dimwitted to see that MJ is just as responsible for his death as any other addict would be.

by american_artist November 1, 2011 11:48 AM EDT: I have a friend who was addicted to alcohol. I weaned her off by accompanying her to the store where alcohol is sold. I made sure she bought no more than a six pack of beer instead of a case, or that juice or cola was added to hard liquors. After a few months, she bought six-packs of beer on her ow, then 4-packs, then single bottles, until she stopped altogether. She's been clean and sober for more than a year, and I am not a doctor. If I were on the jury, I would put him under the jail. The guy's not a doctor, he's a money-grubbing pusher.
