Sarah Palin threatens to sue over book "The Rogue"; says she was defamed

(CBS/AP) JUNEAU, Alaska - An attorney for Sarah Palin is threatening to sue over a new book that he says defamed the Palins and contains "a series of lies and rumors."

John Tiemessen, in a letter to the books publisher, Crown Publishing Group, on Monday, cites an email that author Joe McGinniss allegedly sent a blogger in January seeking substantiation for several rumors that have surrounded Palin's family.

That email was posted online last week by Andrew Breitbart.

Tiemessen says McGinniss' book, "The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin," contains "most of" the stories that merely "amounted to the wishful fantasies of disturbed individuals."

Emails to Crown Publishing and McGinniss sent by The Associated Press, sent after hours, weren't immediately returned.

McGinniss lived next door to the Palins in Wasilla, Alaska, last year while researching the book. It was released last week.

by mick7744 September 28, 2011 8:54 PM EDT: It's funny that Palin and her legal thugs will enthusiastically attempt to intimidate people at the drop of a word about the state of her marriage, her dysfunctional family, or tales of her pathological vindictiveness...but never a peep when anyone publicly challenges her story about baby Trig and the fanciful "wild ride" from Dallas.

If she is indeed not the biological mother of any of the various infants who have been presented as Trig, she is not only guilty of perpetrating the most vile hoax in American political history...but of multiple counts of felony fraud for her many speeches to DS support groups at $100,000 to $150,000 a shot.

Damn right she won't threaten to sue.

The last thing this grifter wants is to be put in a position of having to PROVE Trig's paternity in a court of law.

If she could prove it...it would be worth tens of millions of dollars and BILLIONS of sympathy points to her...so I guess she can't!
