(CBS/AP) ORLANDO, Fla. - Playboy Playmate Shanna McLaughlin is in trouble after police say she tried to bring a .45 caliber revolver loaded with six hollow-point bullets through an Orlando airport security checkpoint in a duffel bag.

Thank God she didn't try to bring any hairspray or over 3.4 ounces of liquid!

The 26-year-old model, perhaps better known to many as Playboy Playmate of the Month for July 2010, was arrested Monday and charged with carrying a firearm in a place prohibited by law.

A police report says McLaughlin, who was heading to Los Angeles, told officers the gun belonged to her boyfriend. She claims she didn't know it was in her bag. She also has a permit to carry a concealed weapon but didn't have it on her.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Article 1: Section 8:

Clause 12: To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;

Clause 13: To provide and maintain a Navy;

Clause 15: To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;

Clause 16: To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress.

Who are the militia? The militia referred to in Clauses 15 & 16 of the U.S. Constitution necessary to defend these United States from invasions, only, not to invade and occupy foreign sovereign nations for the economic benefit of domestic corporations, is to be raised from both the organized and unorganized Militia's as defined in US Code: Title 10: Subtitle A: Part I: Chapter 13 : Section 311. Militia: composition and classes.

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are:

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

Finally, for those Americans who chose to reside in cities and row homes living life under the illusions that the military and police (which by their conduct of intruding into our civil rights by arresting hundreds of thousands of citizens annually for non-violent crimes to raise funds for the dysfunctional justice system loaded with cops, prosecutors, judges ,and staff, all housed in high temples costing we taxpayers trillions each year), will protect us, and ensure our security, you better read and review these recent Federal District and Supreme Court legal decisions.

That's the only things she did wrong. If she wants to carry a gun and she has a lic. she should have known that. Otherwise I don't see how this is news worthy

What is it with the state Florida? Anna Nicole dies there, Casey Anthony kills there & so does the 2 teenagers that killed their parents, from different towns, but Florida! Let's not forget the teenagers that were ran over by a train... Must be something toxic in the air there huh?

by Dr_Pangloss August 13, 2011 9:11 AM EDT: Florida is one of the worst crime states, and Orlando is one of the worst crime cities. Once you get down around Fort Lauderdale, the people are nothing but skuzz. It's a wonderful state to live in, but I wish we could get rid of about 25% of the people.
