TMZ: Anthony Weiner urged porn star pen pal Ginger Lee to lie

(CBS) - Celebrity news website TMZ claims to have emails sent from Rep. Anthony Weiner to a porn star with whom he had a long-term online relationship, urging her to lie about their contact and even offering his own PR team to help her deal with expected media queries.

According to TMZ's report, Weiner emailed Lee on June 2, asking if she wanted to "talk to a professional PR type person... I can have someone on my team call."

In an email TMZ says Weiner sent the previous day, he suggests a line Lee might want to feed to the media if they come asking about her relationship with him: "Have a couple of iterations of: 'This is silly. Like so many others, I follow Rep. Weiner on Twitter. I don't know him and have never met him. He briefly followed me and sent me a dm saying thank you for the follow. That's it.'"

The TMZ article says it's unclear whether the PR assistance Weiner allegedly offered Lee was from his congressional staff or an outside company. Either way, that question and the implication that he urged Lee explicitly to lie about their relationship may present huge hurdles for Weiner as his actions come under scrutiny by the House ethics committee.

These always politicians think in terms of their election, their ego and their rights...when it is really about the impact to their constituents and their Party. He and others of his ilk that disrespect their position, should be thrown out by their Party. He damaged the lot of every Democrat and if he was Republican he would have done the same to them.

Bill Clinton gave us George Bush and probably 9-11 along with the wars and the bad economy. It wasn't Ralph Nader as some Democrats continue to say. It was Bill Clinton!!! It was Bill Clinton doing the same illicit stuff that Edwards and Wiener and Cox (his chest wasn't even bad but we know where it was headed) and many others that can gravely hurt the country.

I have mentioned that Nancy Pelosi managed a shrewd maneuver when she called for an Ethics Inquiry relating to Rep Weiner's conformance to regulations in Congress.We may be looking at a coup de gras here. I have heard some predictions about Weiner resigning this week. He tends to be very tenacious but I do not think he will go as far as to be subjected to the Ethics inquiry. I thought I heard that the panel
had powers to call witnesses. That includes Ginger if they choose to include her. So Nancy Pelosi was on her game because in calling the inquiry no one can say that she fired him personally which she certainly could have done. I do not give any chance of Rep Weiner facing the music of the inquiry as his pregnant wife looks on. The smart money, since he is now between a rock and a hard place is resignation before Nancy convenes the inquiry.; Reply to this comment

I hope he stays as a living embodiment of the hypocrisy of Democrats - the supposed champion of the little people. Apparently Weiner was just marking time until his coronation as mayor of NYC. His job is so non-taxing he could spend lots of time on the internet chasing women. While his constituents are looking for jobs, he is chasing skirts Why is this such a big deal? He is a liar, he encouraged others to lie and he is an embarrassment to his wife and his constituents. If you liberals think this is no biggie, you are easy prey to deceptive politicians that are in DC only for their own self gain. Weiner is a perfect example. As you struggle, he is living the good life on your dime!!

Weiner isn't very smart is he? Let's take a look at how stupid he is.
1. Not smart enough to refrain from sending inappropriate photos to virtual strangers
2. Not Smart enough to know that lying about it wouldn't work.
3. Not smart enough to know that telling somebody else to lie could have sever consequences.

So, some of you people really think this dimwit should remain in office? Seriously? If he was stupid enough to do these things, try to imagine all of the other stupid things he's capable of. It's a frightening thought that somebody this stupid represents anybody. It actually looks as if he's more inclined to misrepresent than to represent.
