Transgender woman attacked at Maryland McDonald's

(CBS/WJZ) ROSEDALE, Md. - The viral video has shocked tens of thousands of people. It shows a transgender woman being beaten by two teenage girls at a Baltimore-area McDonald's, as employees laughed and videotaped the attack.

CBS station WJZ reports that the victim, 22-year-old Chrissy Lee Polis, calls it a hate crime and wants justice.

Polis, who is transgender, says the incident started as she was trying to use the restroom at the restaurant.

"I went to go use the bathroom. Come back out, the girl spit in my face, said, 'Are you trying to talk to my man?' I said, `No, I didn't even know that was your man at all.' The other girl came up, spit in my face, then they started ripping my hair, throwing me on the floor," Polis told The Baltimore Sun.

Police have arrested a 14-year-old girl and an 18-year-old girl they say attacked Polis. The 18-year-old has been identified as Teonna Monae Brown.

"They just seemed like they wanted to pick a fight that night, they really did. And come to find out that girl was only 14-years-old. I was shocked," she said. "They kicked me in my face; they really hurt me really bad and I'm just afraid to go outside now because of stuff like this."

Only one McDonald's employee can be seen trying to intervene in the assault. Several others can be heard laughing. McDonald's says the employee who videotaped the attack has since been fired.

The 14-year-old suspect has been charged as a juvenile. Police say they are still trying to determine whether to file hate crime charges.

Transgender advocacy groups are planning a rally in front of the Rosedale McDonald's on Monday at 7 p.m. to condemn the attack.

What I "see" is two wild and vicious black women ready, willing and eager to murder a white woman. period. Had these two hulking monsters gotten this girl in the parking lot,I doubt this would be a case of assault - it may very well have escalated to murder. And for what? Because one of the black women's alleged boyfriend made a pass at the white girl. It would not have mattered if she was TG or not. They didn't hesitate to punch the old woman in the face. These two black women NEED to made an exaple of. The TG girl could have been anyone's daughter, niece, sister, grand daughter - these hulking brutes raised by cave ANIMALS - DID NOT CARE. Both of these women NEED to be made example of. This case SHOULD once and for all time, be used to set a precedent; you act like a savage, you WILL be HARSHLY punished. The results of this case is going to send a STRONG message regardless of the outcome. You will either get Harshly punished for this behavior or you will get away with it. Sorry folks this ain't no woman - - it's a man period end of statement. He may have had his God given body mutilated to make himself look like a woman but he is and always will be a man.

Now - - that being said, he still doesn't deserve to be beaten to a pulp - - you don't have to like him, you don't have to accept him a friend you don't even have to acknowledge he's anywhere around you.

The other irony is you have two black chicks being considered for hate crime charges - - -

BTW - - does anyone know of any crimes of love??

If you believe Chrissy Polis is a man, why de-humanize her by referring to her as "it"? Hate crimes can be committed by anyone, regardless of their race, and hate crimes can happen against any of us, regardless of race.

No One just wakes up one day and says "gee, I think I'll try to be a girl today". It's a MEDICAL CONDITION - gender dysphoria and NO ONE deserves to be beaten based on a MEDICAL CONDITION. Putting the white girl next to the 18 year old black woman clearly explains WHY the black woman's boyfriend might hit on her. Even for transgender woman - she looks MORE like a woman than a vast number of "anatomically" born women. No - the attack on her could have been anyone's sister, niece, daughter or GRANDmother - these "cave raised hulks" did NOT care who they assaulted. They should be in cages - period - before they actually murder someone for being attractive.

A jury of his peers found Segrest innocent. He was a different looking dude that didn't belong in there at that time. That jury never imagined our people could fight our way out of a white paper bag. Younge was in a group society viewed as lesser at the time. The jury that found Segrest innocent never believed we would fight our way out of that same white paper bag.

This sort of hate-based behavior is hardly new, we witnessed it last in the Water Street McDonalds in NYC in 2002. Customers and counter staff of the African American persuasion behaving like raging animals. Fist fights, verbal violence, complete insanity. None of my family are allowed to use McDonalds. We call it Blackdonalds, and everyone in our communities COAST TO COAST have and will continue to boycott MacDonalds. CIVILITY is just a word bandied about by "people" who have none. As for this person, if there was a question about which bathroom this poor victim should use, any non-baboon would have approached the management about the protocol.; Reply to this comment
