READING, Pa. (CBS/AP) "Fountain Lady" Cathy Cruz Marrero is questioning the professionalism of mall security workers and considering legal action after a surveillance video of her tumbling into a mall fountain while texting made its way on the Internet and went viral.

The 49-year-old Pennsylvania woman told newspaper the Reading Eagle she both laughed and cried about her face-first flop into the fountain at the Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing.

The video shows Marrero, oblivious to the looming fountain, tripping over the edge and falling into the water. She quickly gathers her bag and dropped cell phone and walks away.

She acknowledges the video is funny, but says the security personnel heard laughing on the recording should have been more concerned about her well-being.

"I didn't get an apology, what I got was, 'At least nobody knows it was you,' " Marrero told ABC News' Good Morning America. "But I knew it was me."

Marrero has hired an attorney to look into the matter.

by outwestbutnotca February 10, 2011 12:15 AM EST: When I first saw the video I felt sorry for her, but probably had a smile on my face. It could have happened to anyone. When I found out that she called an attorney it immediately became clear that she is dumber than a bag of hammers. She went from mildly amusing ten seconds of fame to total loser idiot by calling an ambulance chaser who will sue the mall because she was doing something dumb. Sorry, no more sorry feelings here. IMO she should drop the idiotic legal action, do a little on-camera "aw shucks", join everyone else in a little chuckle and move on with her life. When did it become a civil matter to laugh at someone? Are you kidding me? Hey, maybe she will come after me for posting my thoughs here. Do you think?; Reply to this comment
