Brett Favre Scandal: Jenn Sterger Wasn't Only Recipient of "Nasty" Texts, Reports Deadspin

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) According to the website Deadspin, Jenn Sterger wasn't the only woman who received inappropriate and unsolicited text messages from Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre.

The sports blog reports that Favre also pursued two team massage therapists while he was playing for the New York Jets.

According to one of the masseuses, the incident happened in 2008 during training camp at Hofstra University, says the site.

The two therapists, both of whom are anonymous in the report, say that Favre pursued them via text messages - one of the women describes the texts as "just nasty stuff." One of the massage therapists claims she and her husband contacted an attorney, but was told they had no grounds for a harassment case, according to the site, because she was a private contractor.

The NFL said it was looking into the Deadspin allegations about Jenn Sterger under its personal conduct policy.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says the league will "make a determination" if Favre should be punished once the NFL completes its investigation.

Crimesider spoke to CBS News legal analyst Trent Copeland, who said that even though "Favre is a hall of fame-caliber quarterback, at the end of the day, he's an employee." And just like any other employee, he's supposed to follow the rules and regulations of his employer, especially regarding the treatment of other employees.

The texts were allegedly sent while Sterger was a sideline reporter employed by the Jets - while Favre played for the team. The Vikings, Favre's current team, play the Jets Monday night in New York.

Goodell said that the NFL is "making sure we understand all the facts," speaking at halftime of the Chargers-Raiders game Sunday.

If Favre is found to have violated the NFL's conduct policy, he could be fined or suspended.

While Deadspin initially reported that Sterger herself told them about the photos last February, the website said that the new evidence was "acquired from a third party."

Favre has been married to his wife, Deanna, for 14 years.

Sterger's website describes her as an actress, model, writer and television host. The 26-year-old is now a personality for Versus, a sports-oriented cable channel.

OMG! Is there really anybody on HER side in all of this? Wake up people! I don't condone what Brett did (IF he actually did it) but she is CERTAINLY not at fault! How did he get her phone number unless she gave it to him. Why didn't she turn it over to the NFL when it was happening instead of waiting for two years? Why did she save all the texts and pictures if she didn't have an ulterior motive in all of this? She is an attention seeking gold digging ****...PERIOD! She waited until it was CONVENIENT for her to release all of this so she could get her 15 minutes of fame and some money. Something needs to be done about women like this. The NFL seems like they are protecting her instead of their star player! SHAME ON THEM!

Favre is a pervert. No one wants to see his tired old body. This is disgusting and he needs to see a shrink. Who does he think he is? This woman is young pretty and if she wanted to date or sleep with him she would have said so. DISGUSTING OLD FOOL!

You must be hard-up and jealous, what's the prob?? Taking this kind of b ad aren't you? Is it your business, do you live with the Favre's???

his wife should toss him out on his behind but she won't as favre is her money ticket. as for favre the nfl should leave him alone since the nfl took michael vick back after his more serious offenses than sextexting. deanna, favre's wife, should divorce him just as elin divorced tiger woods. favre most likely has been boinking other women and perhaps they will come forward as they did on tiger woods. deanna, divorce favre because he does not love you at all.

longtree, you fail, you don't know anything. None of us do and Favre stood by Deanna all the time as she did him, so grow up and mind your own business.

well.. you know its a shame because he's married. And sorry, where there is smoke, there is fire. Same with Ben, like the Bible says somewhere, where there is a 'babe' better run as fast as you can.

My dad always said, better learn to 'keep' it in your pants... what head you thinking with.. etc etc.

He should have just done what the NY? DA or did, hire a very high priced hooker...
or be cheap and visit the asian massage palor?
Ha, before this game he has a 'therapist' visit him...

HEY.. it was ok for JOE NAMATH (to get some) before a game, uh?

This is beyond ridiculous, yeah ok, wait 2 years before anything is said, what a total waste of time. I suppose you can consider this just like whan Favre was still a packer just before he was traded to the lousy 4 and 12 Jets, rumor had it he used a packer issued cell phone to contact the Vikings while still a packer. The only problem being the Packers do not issue cell phones to any player and this broad looks like a tramp.

While I don't defend what happened, there does come a point in time when too late is just too late. This was two years ago and these women didn't bring this to the attention of either the Jets or the NFL.

As far as I am concerned, it never happened at all...

...as far as Brett's wife is concerned, this is for him and her to deal with and it is no one else's business.

well, it is between Brett and his wife, unfortunately, the NFL has a personal conduct policy and as BEN knows... you can't walk around with your ... richard.. in your hand.. ........ even though the teams got many cheerleaders in the skimpy outfits...
i can go on any football or sports related website and see hundreds of photos of NFL cheerleaders.. no need to visit porn sites...

Why did it take so long for the mainstream media to acknowledge this story? And why won't they dive into a good old-fashioned scandal? Deadspin continues to scoop the mainstream media, by coming out with this story over 2 months ago.
