Silicone Suspects: Two Calif. Sisters Sought in Suspected Injection Death

LOS ANGELES (CBS/KCAL/AP) Two sisters accused of operating an illegal cosmetics business out of their home in Sylmar are believed to be on the run after one of their patients died.

Los Angeles police are searching for Guadalupe Viveros, 53, and Alejandra Viveros, 50, after they failed to appear for a court-ordered hearing Monday in another case.

The duo was facing medical malpractice charges stemming from a previous arrest, reports CBS affiliate KCAL.

The Viveros are also suspected in the death of 22-year-old Mayra Contreras, a  patient who died one day after having silicone injected into her buttocks by one of the two sisters, says The Los Angeles Times.

According to the paper, Contreras' cause of death has not yet been determined; however, other patients have come forward and contacted police complaining that their silicone fillers, typically in the face or buttocks, made them ill.

The two suspects are believed to have fled to Mexico where Guadalupe claimed to be a physician.

I feel bad for their "patients" mainly because they are stupid. Silicone is POISON to the body. Why do you think the silicone breast implant manufacturers were sued for hundreds of millions? A little Internet research would have told them that...but they were stupid. Some free-flowing poisons in their bodies giving them lupus will remind them of that for the rest of their short lives.
Women, do not get silicone implants. They will kill you! It's that simple! Big bo@bs are not worth it when you can no longer feel your legs.

Bdet they went to the hardware store and bought a tube of silicone window caulk, which is NOT the same silicone used in MEDICAL settings!
