NEW YORK (CBS) Hip-Hop legend Dr. Dre has been slapped with a million dollar lawsuit after allegedly failing to pay a bill for recording services.
According to AllHipHop.com, Paramount Recording Studios is suing the producer for $1,220,500 for breach of contract.
The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.
According to the lawsuit, Dr. Dre and his record label, Aftermath Entertainment, allegedly rented the studio from April 2009 through June 2010 but never paid the recording fees.
AllHipHop.com reports Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, has recorded at Paramount for nearly ten years and agreed to settle the bill with Paramount by mid-July.
But the studio claims he never did, resulting in the lawsuit.
