Screengrab of Striptease Routine (KCAL)

PARAMOUNT, Calif. (CBS/KCAL) A striptease performed by three high school students was meant to make classmates laugh; however, the two teachers who have suffered the consequences of the students' "harmless fun" are not laughing.

The striptease, which became a YouTube sensation, led to one teacher being placed on administrative leave, and another's resignation as activities director at Paramount High School, south of Los Angeles, reports CBS affiliate KCAL.

Students and parents rallied behind the teacher after the striptease fallout, saying that she had nothing to do with it and did not know that the students were going to be stripping down to their skivvies.

The students admitted that they had said it was a comedy act and that their moves were ad libbed when they decided to go not-quite-full monty.

District Superintendent David Verdugo said that the teacher who resigned as activities director is still employed with the district as a math teacher.

Outraged students who attended the district's board meeting said that they were denied the right to speak on the teacher's behalf.

"I know what happened and that is we provided them the opportunity to have a different kind of forum in which we would be addressing all of their questions at a different time frame," Verdugo told KCAL.

The three students were suspended for two days. Two of the students said that the moves may have been inappropriate, but one has no regrets.

"It's a good high school memory. It was the best high school memory," he told KCAL.

^^^ Ya that's bogus they didn't let the students talk. I'd bet money on it that those teachers didn't know that was going to happen. Cuz why would the kids tell the??That'd be stupid if they were actually trying to pull it off. And really I the only people who were offended were the staff and parents. I think it's hilarious that they stripped. Takes some balls to do that (pun intended) ahh I hope these teachers don't get in too much trouble, i HIIIIIGHLY doubt it was any of their faults. Just kids being kids.

>but things are way over the deep end lately.

I guess this sums up today's youth. I find it sad since I have children in this generation. No one seems to have any self respect with their bodies anymore. It's all about undressing and dancing in a provocate manner. Part of me can't fully blame the kids, it's in their music, their television, the internet. I am not a prude but things are way over the deep end lately.
