NEW YORK (CBS) The alleged pimp at the center of the Lawrence Taylor rape case, Rasheed Davis, was on parole at the time of the alleged incident. He had been in prison, according to the New York Department of Corrections, for first-degree manslaughter and robbery.

In prison documents and a conversation with a Corrections spokeswoman, CBS News' Crimesider learned that Davis was arrested in January 1991 for possession of stolen property but was released. He was then arrested again in August 1991 and charged with manslaughter in the first-degree.

He was tried on both charges in 1994 and sentenced on April 6, 1994 to 8 1/3 to 25 years and sent to Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill, N.Y. He first came up for parole in 1999 - after serving the minimum as required by New York State - but was denied.

He would get denied four more times, in 2001, 2003, 2005 and again in 2007, before being granted a conditional release in March 2008. At this point he had served two-thirds of his sentence and was therefore eligible for what Linda M. Foglia, Assistant Public Information Officer for NYDOC, called an "invisible release date." Foglia explained that after having served that time, Davis became eligible for parole based solely on his behavior in prison, and not the nature of his crime.

Since he was still on parole at the time of his arrest in connection with the alleged Lawrence Taylor incident, he will now possibly have to appear before a parole board who will determine if he must return to prison for the balance of his sentence for having violated the terms of his parole, which could mean he won't be out until 2016.

And that's not counting the potential prostitution and trafficking charges.

This MF'n Davis pixie NEEDS to be on Death Row and Strapped OnTo a Chair QUICK fast and in a Hurry...He's already Robbed and murdered, thenhe's TRAFFICKING children, and NOW his LIFE needs to be Snuffed away from him and body Thrown InTo raw sewage. Because in THIS life, in THIS world, No one GIVES a FF about a pimp. This girl's NO ANGEL and Needs to be doin' some time, but only SO much of the Blame can be Put on a 16-year old, especially in THIS situation. We STILL don't know ALL the details, but Maybe she deserves a Second shot. We'll see. As for Taylor, what a Shame..

The fact that this isn't the first time a celeb or athelete is caught with an underage prostitute tells us that this is excepted and accepted.

When did prostitution become a why out of trouble at home? When did pimps forcing runaways to sell sexx become cool or even okay? And why isn't anyone coming to the victim's rescue? ...

Not enough people with the right thinking stand up, and too many of the people that see themselves getting over stand too tall.

Anyone who doesn't take action after they hear this story is just as guilty as the (pimp) and (client 1) charged in this mess. Take action.

It doesn't matter WHAT she's done before, or how many times. She's 16 years old! There is a thing called 'childhood' which most parents want to make sure lasts as long as possible. The system is broken, by that I mean no longer gives out justice as most average people deem it should. We live in a degenerate society, it tolerates the guilty and has contempt for the innocent. I really don't care about the history of the parole system. They let the animal out and he found another way to attack us. You're right 'db' perhaps release is still the option...what about releasing him to God. YESSSSSS that would be fun to watch in fact. Lets fire up old sparky!!!

EVERYBODY ACTING LIKE THIS GIRL WAS INNOCENT. SHE SHOULD FACE CHARGES TOO FOR THIS IS NOT THE 1ST TIME SHE'S DONE THAT! HOWEVER, IT IS PEOPLE LIKE THIS GUY WHO MAKES IT BAD FOR OTHER INMATES WHO ARE TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING. EVERYBODY THINKS HARD CORE PRISON IS THE ANSWER, JUST KEEP IN MIND HOW MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE BEING RELEASED FROM PRISON WHO WHERE WRONGLY TRIED, CONVICTED AND RELEASED FROM PRISON, WHO DIDNOT COMMITT THE CRIME, ASK THEM IF JAIL IS THE ANSWER, PRISON ONLY MAKES PRISONERS DASTARDLY SMART AND MORE HOSTILE. THEN THE LACK OF ECONOMY WHO'S GONNA HIRE A FELON, AND BESIDE WHEN THEY CUT THE EDUCATIONAL PRIVILAGES SO THEY CAN BETTER THEIRSELVES, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS REPEAT OFFENSIVES. I DO BELIEVE THE CRIME IS HEINEOUS BUT PRISON IS NOT ALWAYS THE ANSWER, U HAVE THESE INMATES BEING RELEASED AND NOT DEBRIEFED B4 BEING RELEASED
