FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (CBS/WTVR) A homeless man sleeping under the Chatham Bridge in Fredericksburg ,Va. was set on fire Saturday morning, but lived to tell about it.

After receiving a 911 call about 630a.m., emergency officials responded, and said   they found a severely burned man, about a block from the bridge, as well as burned clothing and a still-smoldering blanket.

The man, according to Fredericksburg.com,was later identified as David Mould, 52; he suffered severe burns on his entire left arm and on 25 to 30 percent of his body. He was hospitalized in critical but stable condition as of Monday.

He was first taken to Mary  Washington Hospital, but was later transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University due to the severity of his burns.

As reported by the website, police said Mould repeatedly told them he had been set on fire, but that he didn't know who did it. He didn't recall the circumstances of the attack.

Police are searching for the assailant, and so far no witnesses have been found.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the incident call Det. Mark Purcell at (540) 654-5752.

Whoever did this needs to be set on fire and left to die. I think it's time for some old time justice. The criminals rights, outweigh the victims!

I noticed that many of the news media picked up on this story right away. I also noted that the Police were very vocal at the time of this assault. Does anyone know the current status of this crime? Does anyone care? I heard the victom has lost an arm and is still in the hospitol. I also heard that the Police have not even questioned the victom.

Currently the victom of this crime is a homeless person which is disregarded by society as a lower human being, and potentially nobody cares. Maybe tomorrow the sick individual that caused this incident will meet you. Have a good day and stay safe because this person is still out there possibly selecting you as there next victom.

Criminals need to be brought to justice. Leaving sick people on the streets to stalk others is just not right.
