South Park 201 Censored: Radical Islamic Death Warning Follows Muhammad Episode

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Over 14 seasons "South Park" has courted controversy by skewering religion, but recent episodes depicting the prophet Muhammad in a bear suit may prove deadly, says a radical Muslim group.

The group, RevolutionMuslim.com, has warned the cartoon's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, that they could face violent retribution.

The group's site, which is currently down, featured a post directed at Parker and Stone claiming they "outright insulted" the religious leader.

The post showed a gruesome picture of Theo Van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker who was shot and stabbed to death in an Amsterdam street in 2004 by a fanatic angered by Van Gogh's film about Muslim women. The film was written by a Muslim woman who rejected the Prophet Muhammad as a guide for today's morality.

"We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show," the post read. "This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them."

The post listed the addresses of Comedy Central's New York office and Parker and Stone's California production office.

CNN said the New York-based website is known for posts in support of Osama bin Laden and jihad, or holy war, against the West.

The post's author, Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee, told The Associated Press in a phone interview Wednesday that the article was written to raise awareness of the issue and to see that it does not happen again. Asked if Parker and Stone should feel threatened by it, he said "they should feel threatened by what they did."

The 200th episode for the cheeky and vulgar cartoon was intended to feature many of the personalities and groups that Parker and Stone insulted during the series' run.

In 2006, Comedy Central banned the men from showing an image of Muhammad on their show. They had intended to comment on the controversy created by a Danish newspaper's publishing of caricatures of the Islamic leader.

Muslims consider any physical representation of their prophet to be blasphemous.

Comedy Central and the show's producers would not comment.

Super Best Friends- Episode 504 (Original Air Date: Jul 4, 2001)showed muhammad uncensored back in 2001. nothing happened to them then. maybe they caused 9/11? he was part of the superbestfriends group which was composed of all of the top religious figures (jesus, john smith, buddha, etc) who fought a cult of started by david blane. i would post a picture, however your website does not allow that function.

anyone that takes religion that seriously should be locked up and treated for insanity. imaginary friends such as religious figures should be only there to comfort the weak minded. they should not be killed for. and to call what these people believe in a religion is blasphemous. a cult is a cult. and they are all cults. further, muhammad went into a cave, illiterate, spoke to the arch angel, and came out with the qur'an? sounds like ******** to me. not that Christianity is any more believable or any of its spin-offs. the idiocy of mormons was already pointed out by south park. and they just took it like the group of closet homosexuals that they really are - quietly and with no fight. maybe Muslims should fall in suit.

and if anything happens to the south park creators, the Kaaba will be destroyed during mecca. "This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them." rednecks love south park and are not to fond of muslims. an attack on an american star would be the equivalent of attacking american royalty. in addition, muhammad t-shirts will be sold at every hot topic, pacsun, rasputin records and cart vendor in the country. personally i cannot wait.

Man, I agree with everything everyone's said... ***! Who is this guy & he can say & make it public? Why do we have homeland security if there based in NY? I'm not gonna hate or rant, but like everyone said earlier, this is America, not Afganistand, Jordan, Iraq, or *** ever.. And not to mention WE HAVE SEEN THE PEACE OF MUHHAMAD flying 2 planes into the WTC for all of us to remember... So take your cowardly ass ways back home & preach all you want there...

I concur with 81tflores... These extremists are obviously not familiar with "Freedom of Speech" and other such American attributes to what makes America a free country. They need to realize that "Church" and "State" are separate, so they have no place in America to try and push their beliefs on all of those who aren't Muslims with such cowardly tactics. Don't like we do things in America, extremist Muslims? Then GO THE F*CK BACK HOME TO YOUR SAND BOX!

I will give them one point, as far as I know, Muslims are not out making political/satirical cartoons like South Park that have no filters, so it is somewhat reasonable for them to expect us to leave Muhammad alone.

While I can respect that, we have freedom of speech in this country and what is good for one is good far all, period. That is the only way it can work for our way of life. You can live your way of life elsewhere, keep the west out of it and dont taunt us and it will go much smoother.

In the US of A we have freedom of speach. If the muslims dont like it they can mount thier camels and ride back home, where they threat the camels with more respect than the women. What kind of a religion promotes death to any one not of that religion. Take a road trip to Arizona, Iam sure there are a few red necks that will send you to your promised land.

Woaw, that's pushing it, please tone down on the ******* racism. We're all pissed of like hell here, but the fact of the matter is that these people doesn't represent the religion. The Muslim faith is a lot like the Christian faith, about peace and well being for all, it doesn't promote death. But these ******* extremists have misread the Koran and think that they represent the Islam people. A lot of people in the mid west would give their life for the same freedom we have here in the US, don't let a few ******** corrupt your opinion about good people!

This whole affair stinks of CoIntelPro (counter-intelligence propaganda) Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee is also known as "Zachary A. Chesser, a former student at George Mason University who lives in Virginia and has become more active with Revolution Muslim in the last several months", according to the L.A.Times. He is a member of the the same group 'Revolution Muslim' as "Yousef al-Khattab (Khatab)(was Joey Cohen - Joseph Leonard Cohen), a Jew who lived in Israel and abruptly converted to Islam, and Younes Abdullah Mohammed, also a convert" <http://catholicforum.fisheaters.com/index.php?topic=3427255.0>
This little group of 5-6 NYC Jewish "converts to Islam" are well-known, from demonstrating in a manner calculated to stir up anti-Muslim reaction in front of the large 96th Street Mosque, to being the 'Zelig' of law enforcement entrapment/busts of Muslim schmucks in NYC and environs.
I watch South Park because it is insightful albeit outrageous social satire; I saw episode 200, and would like to see 201 uncensored; even though I am sympathetic to the religious sensibilities of REAL Muslims, I feel it didn't 'cross the line' into hate speech.
BTW Mr. Martinez, the statement "Muslims consider any physical representation of their prophet to be blasphemous." is incorrect; their beliefs run the gamut from wearing a religious medallion with the Prophet's visage on it, to forbidding the artistic portrayal of ANY human being, considering it to be an insult to God, the creator of Man.

Not Homeland Security, HomerLandskiddy. Anyway, this is all BS. Trey, Matt, post the episode already. You (and the network) giving in is already proving that anyone has the ability to affect free speech. This is our born right in our nation. Do not toy with it; do not cave in because of Fear Mongers. If you don't believe in that right, LEAVE OUR COUNTRY... (yes, you CBS, and SouthParkStudios.) Otherwise, Luv ya both. Keep Free Speech Alive. When it's gone, so will our way of life.

Here's my opinion. It's a cartoon, it's a fiction cartoon, not purposely making people look down upon living humans, their drawings that are meant for ADULTS to watch and find humurous. The tightwads that made South Park become censored changed a cartoon in 2010... when if the cartoon has really always been a problem, should've been changed a long time ago, why now?? South Park has had racial cartoons since the beginning. So why do the Islams get special treatment, wow something that people have the CHOICE to watch, if you don't like it, don't watch it. Plain and simple.

Here?s a good report with more information about Abu Talhah al-Amrikee, who wrote the threatening post on the Revolution Muslim web site: http://www.adl.org/main_Terrorism/abu_talhah.htm

"Muslim Group Warns South Park Creators of Death"

I'm amazed that this is the first time. South Park defecates on everything it touches.

If you have a problem with the material aired in South PArk then it is your right to boycott the show. It is NOT your right to sanction violence against the creators of the show because they took use of their freedom of speech.

In this day and age, it is absolutely ludicrous for muslim fundamentalist to impose their religious views / laws on non-muslims. Keep it in your country!

Who does Mr. Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee and every other backwards fundamentalist think they are trying to violently impose their ideal on a population that does not share them? How do immigrant muslims in Europe justify protesting for their preservation of customs that do not fall in line with the host countries? (I.E wearing burkas or sacrificing goats in urban environments) If you have an issue with that, go back to your country, or emigrate to a Muslim country and enjoy that lifestyle THERE.
