Hutaree Website: Christian Militia Raided by FBI were "Preparing for the Anti-Christ"

ADRIAN, Michigan (CBS/AP) A Michigan Christian militia group called Hutaree was raided over the weekend as part of a three state, multiple raid action by the FBI, including raids in Ohio and Indiana.

According to a website purportedly run by the group, Hutaree.com, Hutaree are Christian "soldiers" who are arming themselves and training in anticipation of the coming of the Anti-Christ, which they believe is imminent.

A quote from the website reads: "Jesus wanted us to be ready to defend ourselves using the sword and stay alive using equipment."

Law enforcement swarmed a rural, wooded property Saturday evening near Adrian, Mich., about 70 miles southwest of Detroit. Two ramshackle trailers sat side-by-side on the property. The door to one was slightly ajar late Sunday as if it had been forced open.Michael Lackomar, a spokesman for the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia, which is not connected to Hutaree, said one of his team leaders got a frantic phone call Saturday evening from members of Hutaree.

"They said they were under attack by the ATF and wanted a place to hide," Lackomar said. "My team leader said, 'No thanks."'

The raid in Michigan was reportedly connected to three other raids in Ohio and Indiana. FBI spokesman Scott Wilson in Cleveland said agents arrested two people Saturday after raids in two Ohio towns.

One of the raids took place at Bayshore Estates, a well-kept trailer park in Sandusky, Ohio, a small city between Toledo and Cleveland, where neighbors said the man taken into custody lived with his wife and two young children.

"They took over the block like it was the Army. I thought we were being invaded," said Michael Morin, who lives two lots away.

18-year-old George Ponce, who works at a pizzeria next door to a home in Hammond, Ind., about 30 miles southeast of Chicago, that was raided, said he and a few co-workers stepped outside for a break Saturday night and saw a swarm of law enforcement, according to CBS affiliate WBBM.

"I heard a yell, 'Get back inside!' and saw a squad member pointing a rifle at us," Ponce said.

You are right the world is getting to dark saddly to be the salt and light of the world we must understand that groups like this are makeing a bad name for Chistians everywhere. Saddly there will be a time when speaking the truth will have a price. But, it will never be wrong like this story. The more you read and learn about Christ you will see people hated him but his love was the kind that only the combat vet truly have shown. While man's purpose is alwas evil God always makes a good thing out of it. Like your story of salvation. My prayers Go with you.


by mikean72 March 31, 2010 9:25 PM EDT: wanted to go home and so we did. my daughter used her cell to call me earlier that day to ask that question (could she sleep over)no was the answer. the next moarning we woke up to a phone call for my baby girl and all we heard from the living room was screeming and crying my wife and i ran to our daughter whom was about to collapse when she told us the news. you see it seems that dani had died early in the morning on march 30 2007 i felt my heart sink and tears came to my eyes. desprate to do somthing as we comforted our daughter she said all the youth that knew danni were going to meet at the church by this time i couldnt control the emotions i went from sorrow to anger slapping my steering wheel asking "why so young" "why Now" as if ther was going to be an answer from somthing i didnt believe in. i got to the church it was a beautiful sunny day but in my world it dark and meaningless i had alll kinds of questions and no answers. there was a small group at the church that day some parents an all of the youth as soon as i walked through the doors i was ove come with tears i coldnt stop asking questions or crying ive had a few deaths in my life but i never cried why was this different. the next day we went back to the church and it was then when i realized the profound effect this little 16yr old had on our small town there were over three hundred and eighty peoplr there and most were asking the same questions i was. we had to stand up all the wy in the back of the sanctuary and it was then that i began to realize that with all my strenght and all my know how and abilitys i could never have achieved what she let god do through her by giving love for free without regret or expecting payment just a hug and a smile without the judgement this is what Jesus did and was killed for it. so forgive me if i try to throw off the hatred and madness that this world has tried to thrust upon us and exchange it for love. dot get me wrong i fail miserably all the time but im trying because this world is getting to dark and after starting to read the bible for myself i have to say I Love Jesus and I am so thankful for the love, forgiveness and blessings like my wife and kids my wounderful country where we can still believe. i hope we can find our way together all of us thats what God wants to love him and to love one another. it seems we get so close then we start going in circles again. read for yourself dont take anyones word for it. god bless.; Reply to this comment

While I'm against ANYTHING that has a Christian label (or any other superstition), those militia men still have rights. Anti-Christ fighting Christan militia, priests raping children, pastors and child porn, anti-gay hatred... the list goes on and on. Christians are a real threat to the society and it's good that the press and the police are finally doing something about it.

by mikean72 March 31, 2010 9:23 PM EDT: your pride is amaizing. there is no one better than you in your life. life is finite but a vapor there is good and evil and everybody is a hippocrite yes even you have deep dark secrets you just thaught of the one you didnt want exposed to the world but nothing stays hidden it all comes into the light eventualy. you see i used to be the best in my world with no God too when i was a child i used to get my but kicked up and down the block almost daily until one day when my anger turned into rage and i started doing the butt kicking. i grew up and joined the army and worked out till i was a force to be reconed with. then i went to iraq where i was forced to kill or be killed and i saw death on a daily basis and got used to it didnt even question it until i saw a charcoal dead iraqi in his driveway with his head bieng torn from his shoulders by a dog that was starving i thaught dose he have a wife or maby kids like me i began to ask could this happen to me i looked at my crew and i bet i wasnt the only one thinking that. i started thinking what if i die here my where is that it done i came i lived i died. needles to say i didnt die i came home and got back to a normal life trying to forget what had happened there so i did like i did with my childhood memorys pushed them deep down inside but this time it it got worse because my question never got answered is that it. so over the next couple of yoers i could feel myself getting angryer and angryer was out of the military and and trying to find direction because civilian life seemed like chaos not the mention i started realising that the war was a farce amd my country didnt seem free any more. my beautiful wife tryed to get me to go to church but i wasnt having it i dont need to be with no sissy christians and told her she could go. so i continued to work out get bigger fill my lfe with buisyness so that i wouldnt have to think after all i was only 35 i had a long way to go until i met this charismatic freing of my daughters she was a buck toothed bracefaced girl whome i didnt know from adam but she acted like she had known me forever she ran up tpo me and gave me a huge hug. I was stunned i didnt know what to do but i thaught to my self (that felt great) and every time after that she allways gave me a big hug and a smile i always woundered why she was so happy an goofy but i loved it. and it made me feel better and melt my heart which was like stone i was mean to everybody and unloveable but without a hesitation or knowledge of who i realy was she loved on me. this is not to say that my daughter didnt tell her who i was because i know what she said on myspace to her friends thing lik ******** dad and angry whiteboy but danni didnt care one moarning i got up and we got a phone call you see on 29 mar 2007 my daughter asked me if danni could sleep over and i said no. when i went to pick chloe up from school i saw danni standing there waitin for her mom to pick her up she didnt see me and i didnt go out of my way to say hi even though with the day that i had i could have used one of those hugs. by that time my daughter was getting into my truck and i just

Real red-blooded Americans believe in elections, in the separation of Religion and Politics and in a functioning Federal Government that seeks to "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity".

We have a right to protect ourself from governmental tyranny. Not ONE government in the history of the entire world respected the peoples rights forever.
