Baby Gabriel Update: Father Moving to Texas after Landfill Search Called off

SAN ANTONIO (CBS/AP) Logan McQueary, the father of missing baby Gabriel Johnson, announced that he plans to move to San Antonio, Texas later this month to continue searching for his son. He made the announcement Saturday night during a fundraiser.
The announcement came after San Antonio police said last week that they would be calling off the landfill search for baby Gabriel's remains. Police began searching the landfill after Gabriel's mother, Elizabeth Johnson, allegedly sent a text message telling McQueary that his son was dead.
Johnson later recanted but has refused to disclose the baby's whereabouts. Gabriel's father believes the baby is alive and may have been illicitly adopted.
Police excavated a section of the landfill believed to contain trash from a motel where the baby was last seen. Eight-month-old Gabriel was last seen with his 23-year-old mother, Elizabeth Johnson, in San Antonio on Dec. 26. The Arizona woman is jailed on kidnapping, child abuse and custodial interference charges.
