Missile Defense Agency Logo Angers Right

The Drudge Report and other conservative sites are highlighting a newly-unveiled logo for the U.S. Department of Defense's Missile Defense Agency and complaining that the new logo (pictured at left) is reminiscent of both the Obama campaign logo and an Islamic flag.

"the new MDA shield appears ominously to reflect a morphing of the Islamic crescent and star with the Obama campaign logo," writes Big Government's Frank Gaffney. "… Team Obama is behaving in a way that -- as the new MDA logo suggests -- is all about accommodating that 'Islamic Republic' and its ever-more aggressive stance."

Critics, meanwhile, are mocking the uproar from the right. Tweeted "Zeus": "Drudge is hinting the new Missile Defense Agency logo resembles an Islamic flag's star & crescent. SECRET OBAMA AGENDA!"

The MDA describes itself as a Department of Defense "research, development, and acquisition agency" that is "focused on retaining and recruiting a dedicated workforce interested in supporting our national security." The agency is engaged in development and testing of an integrated Ballistic Missile Defense System.

Wow .....The Right wing and Tea Partiers have complete lost it, to try to generate a conspiracy theory out of this is laughable. On the bright side the Dems probably don't have to worry about the November elections too much if this is the intellectual capacity of the opposition.

This is why I am pro gun-control. Morons that promote "theories" such as this shouldn't have access to guns.

Stop paying them for this - stop listening to them - stop warching FOX or reading the NY Post or WSJ - its got to be stopped and not allowing them to make money from their garbage will stop them.

Hmmmm, Well the hole in the (left) middle reminds me where my tax dollars are going and the red swoosh is the hot air coming back out from democrats about how is was spent.

The Star? Well the star reminds me of the stellar pork barrel lavish health care and retirement plans government politicians get after years of screwing up our lives.

But that's my take anyway.

I guess his magical time-traveling powers (first used to fake his birth in Hawaii, according to the teabaggers) also include retroactively making Reagan flush tens of billions down the Star Wars program.
