"Lost" Fans Upset Over State of the Union Scheduling

After an eventful first year in office, President Obama may deliver his first State of the Union address on Feb. 2, to the dismay of fans of the television show "Lost."

The final season premiere of the ABC drama is slated to air that evening, prompting its avid watchers to launch a protest on Twitter against the potential scheduling conflict.

Under the hash tag #NoStateofUnionFeb2, Twitter uses have left comments like, "Come on Obama, this is really going to lower your approval rating," and "if BO preempts my LOST premiere, I'm gonna spontaneously rage out."

The State of the Union is typically delivered in late January, and networks anticipated this year's speech would fall on Jan. 26, the Washington Post reports, but the date appears to be in flux. Mr. Obama may be interested in giving Democrats in Congress a bit more time to work on health care legislation so he can highlight the finished bill in his speech.

The president, though, can never make everyone happy: If the speech were to air on Jan. 26, it would interrupt a new episode of the program "American Idol," which has also angered Twitter users.

Um...let me see...would I rather watch the season premiere of LOST, or listen to a community organizer trying to socialize healthcare in the US and spew another pack of lies? Yeah, no contest!

everyone who would rather watch a tv show instead of watching a speech from our leader regardless of what u think about him so u at least know what is gonna happen or going on. and if he airs his address when a show is playing it doesnt matter cause that show will be cancled forever..... think about it...... but the effect that come from the speech/ administration could last our lifetime weather that be good or bad. but to the point get over yourselves and realize theres a would outside of your house. i know alot of u will take offence to that but its not an offencive suggestion. read a newspaper from another country.. really find out what the administration is doing if u have doubt but dont always believe mainstream media.. the internet isnt filtered for what will got the best ratings. thats all I have to say about that topic

Ok, here is the deal. LOST is going to premier on Feb 2, because the president is in the first episode. The man is LOST in his delusion and wont be lying because he is a narcissistic megalomaniac with delusions of godhood. So for him its ok to preempt a favorite TV show, because he is after all (in his own mind) the world leader.

no ssporleder i can NOT watch LOST on my computer. watching on the computer is reserved for mediocre crappy shows, basically everything else on tv these days. There is nothing like the LOST experience and i must see it live, in big screen on my tv with no speech interruptions.

just dont play the SOTU ABC, youll get all the views cause who in their right mind wants to watch a boring speech rather than find out what happened after the reset. LOST FTMFW

4 (8 15 16 23 42) score and 7 years ago? seriously though, if obama pre-empts "Lost" perhaps he could send consolation T-shirts to the masses (I like the first one): http://******/8YEqqE

puhleeze...if your approval of the president is going to go down because it preempts your favorite show, then you weren't a supporter to begin with.
