Republicans who regularly listen to radio host Rush Limbaugh or watch Fox News host Glenn Beck see Sarah Palin as the best representative of their party's core values, according to a new Washington Post poll.

A story on the full poll is here.

Palin was cited by 48 percent of Limbaugh listeners and 35 percent of Beck viewers as most representing the party's core values, far more than anyone else in the poll. Overall, 18 percent of Republicans cited Palin, making her the top choice among the GOP rank-and-file.

The former GOP vice presidential nominee was also the top choice among all Republicans to be the party's 2012 presidential nominee, though party members are split so far in advance of the election. Despite finishing first, Palin was cited by just 17 percent of Republicans as their first choice to be the nominee.

Less split are followers of Limbaugh and Beck. Forty-five percent of the former and a third of the latter vowed to vote for Palin if the Republican primary or caucuses were held today.

The Post notes that more than 40 percent of those surveyed said they watch of listen to Beck at least some of the time, including the 18 percent of Republicans who "regularly" follow him. One in eight is a regular listener of Limbaugh.

Nothing Democratic about that party. It always pisses them off by calling them Democrat Party. No mistake there.

Nothing says "I am ill-informed" more than referring to the party currently controlling the White House and both houses of Congress as the "Democrat Party." It's the Democratic Party.

Palin is currently the most public person who is articulating the values of the Conservative Party. The Republican Party and the Democrat Party are the same big government machine. Does Palin have the experience needed to be President? No, but she does have more experiance than our current President. Hopefully she will be the voice of the Conservative movement and we will find that missing person who can be a true conservative canidate for President. Almost all of the current DeceptiCons in the Republican Party need to go. They are just as guilty of the this mad dash to Socialism as the Democrat Party. Socialism does not equall personal freedom.

Talk about the kiss of death .Limbaugh and beck are the fringe of a worn out handkerchief .Use as adornment but beware of its tattered fabric .One is over the top the other constantly qualifies and couches his remarks . They tout Palin because it's the only game in town for now . Is Ken , Barbies ex going to run with Sarah ? Will there be a divorce ? Like Sarah said oooh I quit .

Palin's values? She is a liar, a quitter....is that what the GOP wants for leadership? If so, more power to them, but I thought the GOP had higher expectations.

The lunatic fringe! Howling at the moon! She's nice distraction. Ask her how she feels about the death penalty for homosexuals? That's what her "Christian" brothers in 'The Fellowship" or "The Family" are supporting in Uganda. How many Senators are members of this extremist "Christian" cabal? Who have they sworn allegiance to, ... America? I don't think so.

So what? Does it ever occur to maealy-mouthed mountebank "journalists" that a person might appreciate Sarah Palin AND Naomi Klein? That someone could watch Michelle Malkin AND Amy Goodman? Everybody doesn't see things in stark black & white. Get a grip.

Anybody that watches and appreciate that ugly stain on the proud Filipino race Michelle Malkin is also the kind of person that would like that fraud from Alaska, Sarah Palin. These two deserve each other.
