Biden praises Obama debate performance

Despite a debate performance that disappointed many Democrats, President Obama got some positive strokes from his vice president late Wednesday. Joe Biden told supporters he is "proud of President Obama" and glad that voters heard Republican challenger Mitt Romney admit he would turn Medicare into a voucher system.

"If you finished watching the debate like I did, I am sure you are as proud of President Obama as I am," Biden told supporters by video.

"The president did a good job in laying out his concrete plan for restoring the middle class, from ending tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, to giving tax credits to companies that bring jobs home, to preparing 100,000 new math and science teachers, and training two million workers at our community colleges so we can continue to have the best and most productive work force in the world," Biden said.

Romney, by contrast, "laid out a fundamentally different philosophy. He called for a tax plan that would mean massive cuts for the wealthy, but he refused to say how he would possibly pay for them without raising taxes on middle class families."

Biden said that he was gratified that Romney admitted during the debate that "he would turn Medicare into a voucher," something Biden has said repeatedly at campaign events.

I thought that Dan Quyale was nothing, but Joe Biden is the singular VP that entered Washington in denial and still can't get his foot out of this mouth. He would have done better as a Hollywood madam. Unable to keep his tongue where it belongs. What a bozo..................

I've grown up in this area and raised a family in this area. It never ceases to amaze me how during local, state or federal elections, it doesn't matter, all the Democrats have to do is throw out there radio and TV ads spewing lie after lie about their opponents.......and all the people in this area buy it and vote Democrat everytime. In-fact people around here don't really read, investigate or do anything other than listen to these ads full of falsehoods. I don't understand how so many people can just vote one way just because they are Democrats......

I watched this one ad today, and I don't even know his name, but there is this Republican running for something. He looks like the nerdiest person I ever saw, has a great looking family and is a small business owner.....The Ad from the Democrats make this guy out to be the worst. He's this, he's that, he was for that, he will take us back to this, and the earth will blow up if he is elected.....

I don't know about you, but I welcome different people, and think it could only be good for our area to try different things from different views.....Instead of generations-and - generations of families running the area....

The city of Pittsburgh almost went bankrupt, the Port Authority comes back to the county with their hat in their hands every year for more money because they can't run their business as a business should be run, the airport is one of the most beautiful in the country, but is a ghost town......etc.....

These are a few examples of what the Democrats have done to this area.....Why not try something different......becacuse we're not exactly rolling in the money or business thanks to the Democratic control over the many years....give change a chance....lets try something different.....!

I promise you the earth won't blow up.....!

GIVE ME A BREAK.!!!

Did you honestly expect anything else from Biden.??

Obama displayed the same arrogance he displayed when he appeared before SCOTUS during the hearings on Obama care.

He walked out of the courtroom muttering something like "I'm the President of the United States" implying they had no right to challenge him.

Obama's entire demeanor during the debate said "I'm the President of the United States and I shouldn't have to be subjected to all this BS".

He is so sure he has raised enough money (some of it from foreign countries)to buy the election; he feels he should not have to suject his superior self to such mundane and inane events.

Is there something written that says a Vice President has to be a moron, I believe Joe Biden is a bigger moron that Al Gore who is at the top of that class, Biden thinks Obama did a remarkable job which tells us he will do a remarkable job of making a monkey of himself in his debate with Ryan and will be proud of himself for it.

Mr. Romney has done it again! For the debate (and for the debate only) he changed his positions to appear more moderate and to appear to be a "regular guy." If anyone was actually n taken in by this new act (and it is only an act) and now decides to vote for Romney (didn't he say in the bootlegged video recording that he only has to convince the 4 or 5% of the electorate - the undecided voters-to win the election?), then those people can add themselves to the list of 94% of the people who Romney admits he despises and has no respect for. Obama no has license to take off the gloves and stop acting like a gentlemen (he looked like David Boise respectfully waiting for his turn to argue his case to the Supreme Court in Gore v. Bush) and get down and dirty Chicago style, where he cut his teeth as a politician and community organizer. Next time, Mr. Romney, whoever you pretend to be, no more Mr., Nice President.

You have been called a coward.
The book, DERELICTION OF DUTY, called President Clinton a coward.
In the other hand, he narrated how he bravely flew flight ti Bosnia.
He mentioned that your eyes were big as saucers.
What was a coward doing there?
Cowardly lion?

Poor old Joe the joke. Can you imagine him as POTUS if Oblameo wins and then takes a dirt nap. The world would use us as it's doormat.
I'm sure Joe is studing up on Ryan's positions. He's always relied on other people's work.

I did not think Obama did so bad, no it was not 'fire and brimstone' nor was it anywhere near the eloquence he normal speaks. One must remember, Romney HAD to come out fighting since his campaign was going down the tubes. SuperPacs would have pulled funding on his candidacy, Ryan would have spent more time trying to shore up his Congressional seat and other GOP candidates would have distanced themselves from Romney more than they already are. Romney was short on details, looked smug and if his eyes had sunk any more under his forehead it would have harkened the rediscovery of a Neanderthal man. Two more Presidential debates, Biden is up next and do not sell him short, he has the heart and emotion that the other three apparently lack.

I love it. Keep up your bragging just because Gov. Romney won an Oscar for his portrayal of a "Massachusetts moderate"; a total turn about from his record of sucking up to the Tea Party for months on end to win the nomination.

If he can't stand up to the Tea Baggers in his own party, why in the world would I want him to be our Commander in Chief?

Anyway, I can't wait until the next debates, when the President ties Governor Romney to the extremist Republican Party platform and House of Representatives. I look forward to see the Governor squirm as he tried to disavow the platform positions on things like abortion and contraception.
