Lou Dobbs for President in 2012?

Former CNN television personality Lou Dobbs has said in recent days he is considering running for public office, and this morning he suggested he would consider a run for the highest office in the country.

"What's so crazy about that?" Dobbs responded when an anchor with Washington's WTOP radio station laughed about the possibility of Dobbs running for president in 2012. Politico's Glenn Thrush has a recording of the radio interview.

Dobbs said that he has had discussions about it and that he is, for the first time, "actually listening to people about politics."

"I don't think I've got the nature for it, but... we've got to do something in this country," Dobbs said. "I think that being in the public arena means you've got to be part of the solution."

Dobbs added that he is reaching out to Latino groups, the Chamber of Commerce and "all of the groups with whom I have been in an ongoing debate... to try to bridge some of these conflicts and try to create solutions."

Latino groups have long charged that Dobbs' show on CNN was racist in its emphasis on illegal immigration and cheered his departure from CNN.

Dobbs earlier revealed he is considering a Senate run in New Jersey.

Well, Lou had problems with the Bush Adminstration, and now the obama Administration. Maybe the Lou Dobbs Adminstration is the answer. We have to think about this a little, thought. Lou Dobbs doesn't even have community organizer experience, so would he be qualified? He's never held any office, that I know of. Maybe Lou would be best to run for Senator. He has experience for that! Look at Al Franken! What was he qualified for? Of coure the Democratic party will take anyone. The Republican party is a little more choosy. Lou may have an up hill battle, but I might vote for him.

Long after even Rush Limbaugh denounced the birther nonsense, Lou Dobbs was still proudly declaring his insanity daily by insisting that Obama is not a citizen and not the president.

Lou Dobbs is NUTS. No way in hell is he EVER going to be the president!

I'd vote for Lou Dobbs. I voted for Obama (and would again). Over the years I've learned to vote for the lesser of two evils and if Lou ran in 2012 he'd be the best of the worst I'm 100% positive based on the gang of idiots currently sucking up to their power bases.

"I'd vote for Lou Dobbs. I voted for Obama (and would again)." -- straightener--2008

You better think that over some more, because it's just not possible for both statements to be true. If Lou Dobbs ran for president, he'd be running against Obama. You can't vote for both of them. I suspect that you did NOT really vote for Obama. Lots of paid repuke shills post that they voted for Obama, but now say they're unhappy and want to become a repuke. This is part of the repuke game plan, to try to convince independents to vote repuke. However, despite the fact that support for Obama has decreased somewhat, support for republicans has decreased even more. Whining and objecting to everything is NOT a platform this country can get behind. The GOP is toast.

Sure! Let Rush Limbaugh be his VP, too. Reagan was an entertainer, why can't Dobbs and Limbaugh run together?

what are his plan on immigration healthcare, energy, job creation? None. we need sensible leaders like Obama to lead. its easy to site before the camera and spew your hatred and foolish but that does not even make you white house cleaner

So okay when does Obama start leading?

Oh wait, you're one of those ones who thinks actually talking about policies is "hatred". So I guess letting bad situations fester and stay bad IS "policy", since actually suggesting anything that offends the status quo is "hatred".

Hey, did you read in the news that for the first time ever America is paying out more to entitlement vampires, than it is receiving in tax dollars by Americans who actually work for a living? When is Obama gonna pay everyone's mortgage? Huh? Huh?

If you actually tuned in to what the man had to say and educated yourself, you wouldn't be asking these questions. Instead, you flaunt your lack of knowledge and look like a FOOL doing it. Keep up the great work! What are YOU doing for the country by the way? Petitioning for amnesty? Socialist healthcare? It wouldn't surprise me...
