Gallup: No immediate bounce for Romney after Ryan VP pick
Republican presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (L) and his running mate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) talk on their campaign bus before attending a campaign rally at the Waukesha County Expo Center on August 12, 2012 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
/ Justin SullivanAccording to the survey, 47 percent of registered voters surveyed in the four day period following Romney's announcement said they supported Romney, while 45 percent said they would vote for President Obama. In the four days prior to the announcment, 46 percent backed Romney and 45 percent backed Mr. Obama.
Gallup suggests that Romney may get a delayed bounce, as his polling numbers were slightly better in the second half of the four-day period, but an August 13 Gallup poll reinforces the idea that Ryan's pick got a tepid response from the American people.
According to that poll, 39 percent of Americans said they thought Ryan was either "excellent" or "pretty good" as a VP choice, while 42 percent called the choice "only fair" or "poor." Nineteen percent expressed no opinion.
By contrast, 46 percent of voters called Sarah Palin an "excellent" or "pretty good" choice in 2008, and 46 percent said the same of Biden. Compared to recent vice presidential candidates, only Dan Quayle has scored higher than Ryan among those who believed him to be an "only fair" or "poor" VP pick.

Yep.The GOP tell us that Ryan will accomplish great things. Not true. He would like take us back to the good old days when women were considered second class citizens, when abortions took place in back alleys, when the cold war raged and when the minimum wage was a buck. It is not going to happen. This country has moved on. It is no longer a lily white society that was controlled by angry white men. We like our rights to vote, you want to take them away from some of us. We like our medicare, social security as it is. We like that medicaid is there for the neediest of us. We like that the United States is populated by people of all different races.creed and religions. We respect and celebrate this diversity. We are not going back to the "good old days". We are not going to vote for a plutocratic theocracy.
Not all of us ex Marines feel the same as FormerUSMCSergeant. Matter of fact many of the Ex marines that I keep in touch with would never vote for Obama
LOL!
FormerUSMCSergeant employs more illegals than John McCain.
The Irony.
Fox News Poll: Obama 49% / Romney 40%.
Gallup is the only recent major poll that favors Romney.
Feel The Pattern...
LOL!
Everyone polling 9% or more people "claiming" to be Democrats over Republicans except Rasmussen.
See the pattern?
Gallup: No immediate bounce for Romney after Ryan VP pick
---
What a surprise that is, eh?
LOL!
The real suprise is that you and Obama are not double didgets by now.
Even Carter had higher numbers than Obama and his followers in Aug of 1980.
The Irony.
John "I was in Viatnam" Kerry was ahead of Bush in Aug of 2004 as well.......

So, why doesn't the headline read "Romney has edge on Obama, 47% to 45%
But instead they hide the fact Obama is losing, but instead mention a vice president selection.
Interesting how they emphasize polls which are positive for Obama, and demphasize those, when he's shown to be behind.
Such obvious bias by CBS
Maybe there are two reasons no one is talking about that: 1)it's not the topic, and 2)it's ridiculous.
