Obama visits Olympic Training Center, brags about socks
President Obama ties his shoes as he sits on the mat during his visit to the U.S. Olympic Training center, Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He also gave "a special shout out to the women's soccer team today avenging the loss in the World Cup" after the team beat Japan, 2-1, in the Olympic final. He also congratulated the women's water polo team on their gold medal victory.
Later, the president stopped by a wrestling gym, where he removed his shoes to walk onto the mat and talk to a team of young cadet wrestlers.
"This looks like a pretty young crew," he said. "You know, for wrestlers you smell pretty good."
Afterward, as he was putting his shoes back on, CBS News' Peter Maer quipped, "Very presidential, sir."
"I want to point out: no holes in my socks," the president joked. "My grandmother would be proud."

- From the day this guy began running for President in 2007, he would have plastered his photo on the TV 24/7. If he could have managed it, his photo would have been in every public place, on every transit bus, and broadcast on every type of visual media outlet every day of evry year.

- The USOC relies on private donations and corporate sponsorships to exist. I'm surprised President Obama didn't offer up his "you didn't build this" speech to them. If we, (the voting public) re-elect this man we deserve what we get.

- Joe Wilson is a rude, ignorant representative. He should have shouted LIAR when Bush lied about Iraq and caused many soldiers to lose their lives - over a LIE! And no matter who is in office, respect has always been shown to POTUS when they go up on the "hill". Republicans have been sending a message of pure divisive hate ever since Obama was elected. And I see many that are on here commenting couldn't wait to jump on that bandwagon. Etch-A-Sketch RomneyHood is called a flip flopper, "changed his mind" and all the excuses you can come up with when he lies. A lie is a lie. No matter who tells it. Funny how excuses are made for some people and not others.
