Romney supporters highlight candidate's Mormonism

(CBS News) A small grassroots group of Mitt Romney supporters is putting the expected Republican presidential nominee's Mormonism front and center in Utah, where BuzzFeed has reported Romney's campaign slogan of "Believe in America" has been replaced by "Choose the Right."
"Choose the Right," a motto taken from a Mormon hymn, urges its followers to act righteously. The chorus of the hymn reads as follows.
Choose the right! Choose the right!
Let wisdom mark the way before.
In its light, choose the right!
And God will bless you evermore.
While Romney doesn't regularly publicly discuss his Mormon beliefs, the phrase, abbreviated CTR in the Mormon community, can be found all over the organization's website, RomneyCTR.com. The website's store has bumper stickers, buttons and wrist bands, all with the motto either under or next to the candidates name.
"We sought a slogan that would simply but directly capture our message and be the focus of our cause," one of the group's leaders, Stephen Steele, told BuzzFeed in an email."While we considered other possibilities, 'Choose the Right,' a phrase familiar to our faith and upbringing, made sense; simple but direct."
Although the group's "about" page notes it is "unaffiliated with the Romney Campaign," the website's color scheme and logo are almost identical to Romney's official campaign site.
In May, Romney spoke at Liberty University, where The Washington Post noted the former Massachusetts governor spoke deeply about faith but made no mention of his Mormonism.
The Romney campaign did not immediately return a request for comment.

The depth and degree of deception in anti-Mormon propaganda can be seen in Arthur Conan Doyle's short story "A Study in Scarlett". It portrayed Mormon society as oppressive to women; one in which women were forced into polygamous marriages against their will. At the very time "A Study in Scarlett", was written, Utah had the most liberal divorce laws in the United States and possibly the world. Since 1852, any woman who insisted on a divorce got one. Lawyers from New York and other states often obtained easy Utah divorces by claiming their clients planned to move to Utah.
By comparison, life for women in England during Arthur Conan Doyle's life was far less liberating. The 1857 Matrimonial Causes Act allowed divorce through the law courts, instead of the slow and expensive business of a Private Act of Parliament. Under the terms of the act, the husband had only to prove his wife's adultery, but the wife had to prove her husband had committed not just adultery but also incest, bigamy, cruelty or desertion. Once divorced, the children became the man's property and the mother could be prevented from seeing her children.
Republicans ran McCain in 2008 because he has always been known as a Maverick, some even rating him as a democrat in republican garb.
They then talked McCain into picking Palin as his VP to give a greater chance of a democrat being elected.
The idea was; if McCain loses they can blame all the Bush/Cheney fiasco onto the Democrats (as the have always done when they bring the country into Great recessions or near depressions in the past). And if McCain wins they still can easily use his Maverick status to reflect most of the blame from republicans.
Since the Bush/Cheney great recession is still here, and may very well deepen, and given all the failed candidates who ran in this years republican nomination campaign, the Romney nomination Sounds eerily similar, especially if they can find another Palin to be his VP running mate.
If Christians took the time to look at what Mormons actually believe they'd pick a write-in candidate.

Translation: The Federal Reserve shouldn't use new stimulus measures to boost the still-sluggish economy UNTIL AFTER NOVEMBER, we have worked too hard the past 3.5 years, blocking any bills that would have improved the economy, and it is still too early to allow any improvements occur now.
The fed is following this tactic by deciding NOT to institute and stimulus action but officially keeping it on the table. This will keep the susceptible voters satisfied until after the elections.
I will create 12 million new jobs in my first term in office, simply by redoubling the national debt to $32 trillion and fool all those folks who voted for me into believing that the economy is doing great, I'll just tell them that "THE DEBT DOESN"T MATTER". It worked for Bush and Cheney and it will work for me.
I know my schemes will work because I am following the example set by Joseph Smith, the beloved founder of the Mormon Church, of which I am a high standing member.
Just look how successful Joseph Smith was. Even after he being convicted of fraud he managed to accrue wealth and multiple wives. This is proof positive that most people will believe anything a skilled con artist says.
However, I will not talk about my Mormon faith because people all over the world will learn that I believe in a cult created by a fraud who was CONVICTED of fooling people into paying him to find buried treasure with his magic glass tucked in his hat.
I will not release any more of my tax returns, the 2011 returns I promised to release will not be ready until after November 6.
It is very important that I win this election so that we can eliminate social security for the elderly a lot sooner than if Obama is re-elected.
